Bill was exceptional today. MOM by a mile.

Board is getting what they deserve sadly: relegation.

All good points.Totally agree re Harrison in the middle can’t ever fault his efforts, but we as you point out are lacking that player (Pablo) who can unlock a defense and create chances regularly.
McKennie and Adams I like but they’re very similar in what they offer on the pitch.
Roca is our missing midfielder at the moment and I don’t think he’s particularly creative…….which someone on here pointed out is not what he was bought for which is a fair enough point…….but given that Where is the creativity coming from on this team.
Firpo wasn’t bad today but still him and Wober both show lack of composure at times hoofing the ball which simply invites trouble bAck on us at times.
I think a fit Cooper with Wober going to left back might help.Rodrigo and his return can’t happen quickly enough cos the Spanish hide and seek champion seems to be the only player who’s been capable of finishing chances this season.
We’re in a dog. Fight from now to the end of the season
Worrying the cards McKennie and Adams are accumulating hopefully doesn’t come back to bite us down the line.
Everton and Southampton next two teams we should already of taken 6 points offf……but ya know.

Let’s hope we turn this around

Don’t think there is a more dislikable current player in the prem (that will be greenwood if he returns)

He is whiny , moaning wimp ….even his face winds me up . Looks like he is on the verge of tears constantly

Ayling is a very good player ….more I see of him the more I like

For what it’s worth think you guys will stay up but bamford needs to sort his feet out quicker

His first touch is horrendous. That'll never change.

Spot on about Bamford. The number of times he mucks up his first touch and the opportunity to either
have a shot or play a team mate in is lost is mind blowing

Allow me to help you out here, Bernardo Silva

You’re right about Jack - he’s neither a Kalvin nor a Pablo and just doesn’t have the vision of those two maestros. Far from dictating play, I thought he wasted the ball an awful lot - he faffs around and loses possession way too much.

Might just be me but I thought McKennie did okay.

Firpo played okay as well. Nice surprise

Yes unfortunately Gnonto or Summerville occupies Harrison's best position so that needs to be sorted for the Everton game and an extra forward alongside Bamford would also help... If Rutter isn't match fit then give Joseph a go. We need goals as the defence is ironically not too bad and I agree Firpo was alright.

I thought he started ok but then realised it was just a lot of running around and ineffective.

One wonders what Roca must be thinking.

Isn't Roca injured? I swear I read him and Coops are
both injured and why they were missing. Could be wrong.

Thought it was same old same old. Plenty of huff puff, some flashes of good play and picked off in return. Played well for 75 mins but its a 90 min game. Can't fault the effort or the tenacity, especially from the American's in the middle. Defended well and imo , that's our best back 4 now that has to start every game if fit. Everton is borderline must win depending on how they do at Anfield tomorrow. Southampton is a win it or we've had it game.

Can't Gnonto play more central alongside Bamford, like a Beckford and Bechio combination?
Then we can have Summerville or Harrison wide and 3 in midfield with hopefully Rocca back alongside are USA midfield duo.

I really think we need to be playing a 4-3-3.
We need Roca back for that to happen, alongside
our USA duo. Ideally we'd have Rods back to
play CF. Unfortunately, he's weeks away.

Lot of Gnontos work is him cutting in, I think if you take him from wide and put him in the middle you stifle a lot of what makes him good.

Harrison and Gnonto are wide players, they need to play wide

posted on 12/2/23

Defo agree with 433. Roca and the Americans (band name) with Gnonto up alongside Bamford and one other.

Don't know if I'd change anything, two solid performances against a top team...a point better off than I thought we would be! The only issue now is taking it to Everton and Southampton, but that has been the problem all season long.

The real sad thing for me is, weve a ton of quality in this squad.

Should be nowhere near the bottom.

Sadly one blokes obsession with playing narrow, as killed us, and its not then easy to turn round form

Shortest odds I've seen on Alfred. Could be a done deal ffs….. absolutely embarrassing if this guy comes in - his record is absolutely dire.

Got to give the fifth choice a chance

Overall, we did ok against them today and last week. It's the Forest result that kills us. Lots of positives, especially our defence, which is continuing to improve, but we are an 80 minute team.
However, we have a day more recovery against Everton and need to take advantage of it.
We have to acknowledge the failure to put our chances away. How we miss Rods! We need to visit a lot of brothels before we score.
Skoobs is doing a good job, but he is not the man we need. But who would take on LUFC in the relegation zone?
Everton will be a real battle, but if we play like we did today, we can feel positive of getting a result.

Yes be interested to see a Midfield three of Roca, Adams and McKennie.

A joke really when we sacked JM we had no one in place lined up. Surely that's what top clubs do. Would just be our luck for Southampton to do us in Marschs first game for them.
