Qatari Bid Imminent

A few people in England boycotting the Qataris won't make a blind bit of difference considering the larger bulk of United fans around the world are relishing the takeover.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If it’s the brutal, autocratic dictator al-Thani leading the bid, I expect there’ll be more than a few United fans outside England who’ll also take issue.

“Why haven't I boycotted from something that hasn't happened yet and still might not? Yeah that makes a lot of sense. 😂😂😂“

“Being used as a marketing tool to mask homophobia, modern day slavery and sexism amongst many other things isn' in line with the ethos of this great football club.”

You honestly don’t think that’s happened yet?

On PSG and us, there’s completely different motivations for the ownership so lumping them together I disagree with. Just speaking about us though, I entirely agree it isn’t a good thing overall for football to attract investors like them (or even Abramovich or the Glazers for you). I wonder what happened that attracted owners like them to football in the first place and why I, again, advocate a return to pre-nineties rules around ownership and distribution of wealth and who I might find more than partly to blame for that going away….

Clear the debt, reduce season card prices, back ETH and don't interfere with his transfer picks and maybe sort out mobile signal at OT. That'll do me.

United kind of paid the price for being the first English financial football juggernaut with the Glazers and now this. We reaped the rewards then suffered (comparatively) from it. As people have stated yes it was kind of inevitable from that point.

I don't really want the Qataris to take over but, to be honest, it won't stop me supporting United.

That's why you play at the Etihad stadium, train at the Etihad Campus and have visit Abu Dhabi on rolling billboards at every single game you absolute cretin. 😂😂😂

You see.....you've allowed yourself to be bought by the BS propaganda. You have to do it to convince yourself this is all perfectly normal and City are just acting like any other big club .

You were bought to sports wash Abu Dhabi and attract tourism as they know the world is becoming less dependent on oil and sooner than later all cars will be electric meaning their chief export will be far less valuable.

Don't you find it hilarious that Abu Dhabi based companies just so happen to be the best sponsorship deals you can get? 😂 The truth is they probably aren't. But your owner doesn't care. If he could get an extra £50m a year from a western company sponsoring you he still wouldn't change Etihad.

I love it how you just can't accept what's so obvious. You can't accept it because you don't want to accept it. 👍

Yh probably announced officially March time, clear the debt, rebuild the stadium and I'll be happy
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'll be happy we clear the debt and rebuild the stadium. But I'll be very unhappy who's paying for it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Me too.

Inevitable though at the prices being quoted. The PL are partly to blame for allowing these state owned vanity projects to begin with.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That almost sounds like a penny dropping

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah don't think you're getting off the hook there melts. Just because the PL allowed your takeover doesn't mean you can be cheating toe rags. Two wrongs don't make a right.

At least you will all know that if United fall into very rich ME hands then your club will be partly responsible for it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

And you were so close to finally getting it!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

There's no getting it. You were and still are willing to accept your owner despite all the negative human rights stuff in Abu Dhabi because you wanted to see a few trophies before you popped your clogs.

I don't want that for my club. I think this club is bigger and better than that. Being used as a marketing tool to mask homophobia, modern day slavery and sexism amongst many other things isn' in line with the ethos of this great football club.

Not that I get a say in any of it but that's how I feel and so do many other reds.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You’re really not the brightest sometimes SE!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

What have I said that is untrue?

You really are the most delusional City fan I know. You just can't bring yourself to admit it either.

I don't want to be a sports washing club like your poxy Tinpot club did. That's the difference Melts. It's called integrity.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Have a read back of your own comments that I was replying to and think about why I might have said the penny is finally dropping, you were so close and now you’ve descended again into being a complete muppet.

And just to be very clear for the umpteenth time, I have never wanted any of the ownership structure and governance that football clubs have in place nowadays and haven’t done for over thirty years, including ours.

I’d also have a think about existing partnerships too that you’ve got if you don’t want to be a mrketing tool used by a state. Or have you already been boycotting the club, given your “integrity”…?

---------------------------------------------------------------

We don't desperately need to sell our souls to compete. We already spend similar amounts to City as it is.

I hope you realise who the poster is you're agreeing with here. The guy who isn't right on anything ever. 😂

Not sure you're in good company there melts.

Like I said....if you could just come to terms what you are this would all be avoided. But you can't. You're sponsored by Etihad because it's a failing airline running at huge losses but one that is close to the hearts of your owner. Nothing more.
