What i like about him is he is very tactical too, he seems to see every tiny detail of each match and proactively changes the tactics to get the win.

Exciting times!

Yeh, really happy with ETH. He is exactly what we needed. I am so glad that we didn't panic last season and go with Conte. I know that it was rough under Ralf, but I said at the time that I would rather wait and get the right coach (ETH), then bring in a short term appointment like Conte. So far that looks to be have been the right approach.

Couldn’t be happier but won’t get carried away. We’ve seen how quickly things can turn. Look at the start OGS had, we were ecstatic.

Saying that, our CB partnership and midfield potential is better than anything we’ve had since Fergie left.

We’ve really hit the jackpot with Ten Hag.

Will believe it if he doesn’t start the final on Sunday with Weggy up front.

LOL back to reality soon after losing to Newcastle.

A lucky win against a has-been Barca side is nothing special.

Ole vibes for me

If he wins half of what Fergie won he would probably be the second or third best manager of all time in England.

Calm down. Its early days in the ETH project. He is still learning and you could tell he learnt a lot from that first half and corrected it at half time. Fair play to him.
But yes, we are ahead of schedule after just 6 months. Yes just 6 months. He's just started.

The squad is still thin and there are still a handful deadwoods to get rid of... give him 2 or 3 more windows doing it his way.

Haven't seen OT rocking and the togetherness of the players in victory quite like last nite for a while now. But we are all now believing that something is happening.

Winning on Sunday would make it so much easier for the manager staff and players going forwards. Sometimes winning the first trophy is the hardest and the catalyst for multiple success. I was at Wembley for both Palace Cup Finals in 1990 and remember believing that something magnificent could be just around the corner with Fergie.

I think suggested he will do anything close to SAF is at least very premature.

I don't see the comparison with Ole's start really. What happened with Solskjaer was psychological release after the dark cloud of Mourinho was lifted, and in tactical terms it was mainly about happy attacking vibes rather than building a rigorous, sophisticated way of playing football. After that initial bounce we saw a series of purple patches and brown patches. There was never a point where the side consistently cracked how to handle matches that presented challenges that tested our weaknesses.

With Ten Hag we've seen systematic, incremental improvement in our tactical sophistication, the team's collective ability to fulfil those tactics, and the team's mental toughness. It didn't happen overnight. There were encouraging signs, and then longer periods of matches where we were playing well, and then the good spells were longer than the wobbly ones, and so it goes on. It's clear that ETH sees this as a unfinished work and will continue to demand more from his current players and to shape the squad to better suit his requirements.

My comment was a response to suggesting there is 'no contest' between Tuchel, Conte and Ten Hag. Ten Hag is on top today, his team are doing the business whereas the former two are having low ebbs in their careers. This estimation is subject to rapid change though. The records of Tuchel and Conte are prestigious enough to not dismiss them like that, in my opinion.

Their ages being similar suggests they have a similar number of potential years left in the tank which is another potential part of the value calculation.
