What's wrong with that?

Focused?????? Do me a feckin favour!!!

Absolute bunch of clowns.

Honestly read through some of the comments on the spurs official updates. EVERYONE is calling for Conte’s head.

Bringing this back to Kane a little bit, the truth is that I think he likes Conte and would have left if he’d gone regardless. If Conte staying is what keeps Harry here then that’s no deal as far as I’m concerned. I can’t watch this football anymore.

Slightly odd reaction from you.

I’m not sure it warranted seven laughter emojis

Yep, he`s leaving this summer, he has the Spurs goal scoring record and that will be his Spurs legacy. He knows he is is wasting his career staying at Spurs, he has no reason to sign a new contract and he will have a queue of clubs chasing him.

He will go and win silverware elsewhere, just like most other good players that leave Spurs, he has been failed by ENIC on an epic scale.

As for us Spurs fans, there is another rebuild ahead, under another new manager, rinse and repeat. The future does not look too rosy when you consider the work our squad needs and Kane`s output that needs replacing.

You guys are so strange.

If you don’t understand the sentiment here, you’re probably not really a football fan and, in all honesty, the most strange person in this thread.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You guys are bipolar depending on the result of each individual game

Example?

I'd definitely take Kane at United. With Casemiro, Varane Martinez he could be what we need to take us over the line in a title race. He'd be the final piece of the jigsaw and would cement a tasty looking spine of the team.

All comes down to price I suppose and if Spurs qualify for the CL.

Sums up ENIC`s failure to overhaul the squad to the required levels, we have been saying these 3 players need upgrading for years, and yet they are all still starting games.

His contract runs out in Summer 2024. I’d hate to see him another PL club but wouldn’t begrudge him the move.

Kane needs to strike up a partnership with Rashford before the Euros as well.

He's gone either way and I wish him well. Actually, no, to tell the truth, whilst I wish him well I hope it goes mega tiiiits up at United. Not out of any bitterness towards him, as I love the guy, but because United are rebuilding in the most distasteful way. Hoovering up players in their late twenties and early thirties on extortionate wages, spending absolute fortunes on players like Antony and Sancho, who have both bombed and miraculously ETH gets all the credit for the turnaround. You've just spent a shiiiiit load of money. You're no better than Chelsea or City. Actually you're worse. At least they've built an academy to keep faith in lads from the local area. Whatever happened to the legacy of the class of 92? I used to like United under Ferguson because the spine of his side wasn't bought, it was developed from the academy. That's the right way to do it. If you do continue to win trophies, to quote the great Brian Clough, you can take all of your medals and throw them in the bin, because you wouldn't have won any of them fairly.

You might win silverware, but you've sold your soul to do it. You have a stadium and academy base falling to bits but as long as you keep spending big on foreign players, you'll win. Well done.

This is bitter mate. United are the biggest club in england, of course they can spend more. ETH is doing a great job simply because hes reversed an underperforming team from the last 5 years.

Besides, wtf is our academy doing? We have a supposedly fantastic academy, training ground, stadium, skywalk and gokart track with no trophies

That's precisely what I mean about FFP being an issue. I know Levy is pushing for it but the truth is that it will keep United in that position as the bully boys of the Prem. If no cash injection from owners is allowed, what chance has anyone got of actually competing. You said it yourself. They're the biggest club in England and with heavy regulation, as I'm sure they were fully involved with, they will race clear. You watch. They are a financial colossus. They can continue to spend billions but no other club in the Prem will because their turnover doesn't even get close. It took underhand accounting for City to do it. It was prior to the rules changing when Chelsea did it. Liverpool, I guess are the anomaly but you've really got to get that sweet spot between manager, recruitment and philosophy right to even stand a chance. United can make mistake after mistake after mistake but they can continue to buy their way out of trouble.

FFP will be the death nell of the Premier League as we know it. We're gonna start to see a major dominance of one club in United, a bit like Celtic in the Scottish League. Even the doped clubs won't be able to compete anymore. It won't happen overnight but in 5-7 years, this league won't be anywhere near as competitive as it is, and it will be down to FFP and regulation. Sounds cosy and equal in theory but it's not. It just stops smaller clubs from dreaming.

I get the rationale you are making but thats unlikely to ever happen, United have spent the most for years and still been crap. Spending the most doesn’t automatically mean you will win. Of course it gives you a great advantage though.

End of the day, FFP or no FFP, it means nothing to us. I’m 30 this year and Spurs have won 2 league cups in my entire life. Fair play to Ten Hag, wish we signed him

posted on 2/3/23

You should probably read up on ffp. And then look up the league tables for every year since 2014. Then you might realise what an absolute crock of shiiiiit your post is.

Well I agree with that. he's unquestionably a good manager but I'm basing that on the stunning football his Ajax team dazzled us with in that CL semi final, not based on anything I've seen at United. All I've seen there are two really good individuals in Rashford and Casemiro stepping up. Aside from that, I'm not really seeing any kind of breathtaking cohesion or patterns of play. Not even close.

posted on 2/3/23

Yeah I was gonna say, fridgeboy. We've had FFP for over 10 years, your post reads like someone who's just heard of it for the first time. And FWIW Liverpool's revenue isn't that far off United's. Chelsea are not far behind the pair of them (less than 100m) and we're closing fast aswell.

Of course clubs with less money can be competitive. You just have to have a really good plan and strategy for achieving it..

2014 to now has got nothing to do with what I'm talking about. I'm only referring to the tightening of the rules and new FFP regulations from 2024/2025 season onwards. It's not where we've been, but where we're stepping into.

Read my response above. I'm talking about impending FFP changes, not the loose watered down restrictions we've seen up to now. Clubs until now have been able to circumvent the rules. Not any more. That's where I worry about the chasing pack and their ability to even get close to United long term. Trust me on this, my gripe has absolutely nothing to do with the introduction of the FFP rules in 2009 up to now. Nothing of the sort. Don't look back, look forward. That's where the issue lies.
