Only attacking player in Scotland you could argue is potentially better is Jota.

Kent has been consistently one of the best players in league, and performed massively in big games in Europe.

Let's backtrack - is Kent worth it?

I've said for a few years now that Kent has real potential. I said the same about Eoin Jess. Kent's problem is he shows flashes of it but rarely does it. I do worry he will have a game v us where it all just comes together but he he has only shown it in flashes.

As for "only attacking player ...potentially better is Jota ... one of the best players in league".

Go easy on the drink for a Monday. Jota, Abada and Haksabanovic are all similar style of player and are all miles better never mind mentioning Kyogo. Haksa and Abada don't always get starts for Celtic either.

If it's not the wing then it's the attacking mid role and Reo and O'Riley are far better as is McGregor when he plays further forward.


None of these players costs Celtic big money so the answer is - no Kent is not worth it.

What's Kents record on assists and goals..?

If his stats are correct, he’s played 199 games, has 33 goals and 33 assists in 4 and a half years.

Abada has played 85 games, has 26 goals and 13 assists in 18 months.

Jota-67 games, 23 goals, and 20 assists in 18 months.

Maeda-51 games, 14 goals and 11 assists in just over a year.

Kent has had 1 notable domestic season, the season there was no crowds.

Rangers had a standout season in their run to the Europa league final-where players seemed to find a level they hadn’t before in Europe. This season, they recorded the worst ever champions league record. Kent had no goals and no assists.

Aye and Kris Boyd is better than Larsson

Kent is far better than many are making out.

We’ll never know but I wonder what his stats would be in Ange’s Celtic side.

Good finishing isn’t good enough though. He certainly creates space for others, often doubled up on.
Was outstanding in Europe and often against Celtic too… more space I guess.

He’s our most dangerous player. G/A don’t tell the whole story, certainly not when gio had him hugging the touch line with no one in the box.
