That is a fair point and it's not only Spurs who seem to do it? I get managers etc are under pressure and want to go with experienced pros but I do wonder how many quality (younger) players, throughout the league, are being denied a chance and enough games to shine and make an impact?
don't even care about Trophies we just sheet to watch.

Yep, I mean to think we had Madueke on our books and let him go is ridiculous. He said in an interview recently that he felt there wasn't really a pathway from youth team at Spurs when he was here (which I find surprising as he was here during the Poch era). So that blockage you speak of doesn't only apply to new players coming in, it applies to young players coming through the academy. To think that in the last 20 odd years only two top drawer players have developed and come through at Spurs in King and Kane is just ridiculous. As much as Chelsea get a lot of crap thrown at them for buying success, they've got a shiiiiit-hot academy system with the players they bring through.
Sandy does this from time to time. He's still commenting on some predictions league so he's still around. Maybe he can't face up to the fact that he's been plain wrong for the last 3.5 years. At least LukaBrasi has the balls to admit when he's wrong. Sandy doesn't. He just disappears and pops up as someone else.
I didn't watch the game but by all accounts we played better but couldn't finish.
We are still 4th so plenty to play for but I do fear for the worse like everyone else.

BUT the fact still remains that when we were more entertaining, if success were measured as a sliding scale, we were MORE successful then than we are now.
4th, 3rd, 2nd (on 86 pts), 4th, CL final and a League Cup final absolutely pissssses all over anything Conte has done, whilst playing attractive football.
Yet apparently he's a miracle worker.
I really, really don't want to see his face again at Spurs. I'm watching the Milan game from the pub with my mates, so that I can force myself to sit and chat and occasionally glance at the match. I'm done being heavily invested in this club.

Nothing to Conte for me. He was blessed with world class defenders at Inter and Juve. Both teams make up the majority of his serial wins. People ignore this
Conte has been a major disappointment. However, we all know that it was pointless Levy appointing him as manager if he wasn't going to be backed in the transfer market - which he hasn't been.
Interestingly, a few months ago it seemed like Conte was doing us a favour and all the talk was about him walking. Now, I think his stock has fallen and it will be interesting to see if he gets another big job (outside Italy). His tactics have been exposed as being too rigid, too inflexible and as having no plan B or C. By not cutting ties now, it's us that's doing him a favour!

People should not be judging Conte until he has the squad of players he wants to work with, only then can you judge what he is doing. Of course, he is unlikely to ever get that from ENIC, and we have no idea if he will be here next season. But when I weigh it up. Do I want another managerial appointment under Levy or do we stick with Conte.
I still go with Conte. Give a class keeper and class defenders. Get rid of Son which I don't think he will.
If the result nosedive with the likes of Son, Moura and Sanchez, Dier and him not getting the best out of Kulu, Rico and Porro then he can do one. There is always a breaking point.

Conte's a joke but was the wrong kind of manager in the first place. You'd think they would learn after doing it twice in a row before him.

Yep, I mean to think we had Madueke on our books and let him go is ridiculous. He said in an interview recently that he felt there wasn't really a pathway from youth team at Spurs when he was here (which I find surprising as he was here during the Poch era). So that blockage you speak of doesn't only apply to new players coming in, it applies to young players coming through the academy. To think that in the last 20 odd years only two top drawer players have developed and come through at Spurs in King and Kane is just ridiculous. As much as Chelsea get a lot of crap thrown at them for buying success, they've got a shiiiiit-hot academy system with the players they bring through.
Sandy does this from time to time. He's still commenting on some predictions league so he's still around. Maybe he can't face up to the fact that he's been plain wrong for the last 3.5 years. At least LukaBrasi has the balls to admit when he's wrong. Sandy doesn't. He just disappears and pops up as someone else.

I don't want to be wrong because I cannot be bothered with another managerial change and all the false dawns that come with it under Levy.
I like Conte because he is a fruitcake who is not afraid to challenge Levy in the press, but like everyone else I do get bored watching us play but if the results are good I will accept it.
We are still "on paper" have a chance for 4th which is probably the best we can hope for.
If Conte is still around in the summer it will be interesting to see if the club will back him with new defenders. Either with or without him, we need them more along with a new GK.
But you cannot trust Levy to make the the right appointment. Look at his record so far lol.

I didn't watch the game but by all accounts we played better but couldn't finish.
We are still 4th so plenty to play for but I do fear for the worse like everyone else.

People should not be judging Conte until he has the squad of players he wants to work with, only then can you judge what he is doing. Of course, he is unlikely to ever get that from ENIC, and we have no idea if he will be here next season. Give Conte the players and he will succeed, just like Mourinho, they have proved it everywhere they have been, apart from Spurs.
Fans that want Conte sacked because they don`t like the football are part of this clubs problem, it may well be that Conte is getting the maximum out of this squad (points wise) as it is, and it could be worse under another manager. I want winning football, I don`t care if it is pretty football or anti football, winning is all that matters, this nonsense about playing football "the Spurs way" went out with the arc.
It is all a pointless discussion anyway, because for as long as ENIC are around we will be achieving nothing other than a few forays into Europe.

People judged Nuno before he had his squad, People judged Jose before he had his squad. Why shouldn't we judge Conte?? No manager gets an instant squad but ehat we expect from 15m a year is in game management and tactics. Conte has failed on this.

Yep can't argue with that. Making no subs for ages was a joke, then bringing on Moura. Come on man. That is BS, especially after the sheff utd game.
But when I weigh it up. Do I want another managerial appointment under Levy or do we stick with Conte.
I still go with Conte. Give a class keeper and class defenders. Get rid of Son which I don't think he will.
If the result nosedive with the likes of Son, Moura and Sanchez, Dier and him not getting the best out of Kulu, Rico and Porro then he can do one. There is always a breaking point.
