Poch is a legend

But why would he come back? What’s the point of spurs anymore?

Poch probably wants to win a few things so I doubt he would bother with Enic fc again. I don’t blame him at all.

Same as Conte's, Mourinho's, Nuno's, Jol's, Redknapp's, Sherwood's, Villas-Boas'... All the more reason why it's not a fair stick to beat him with
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So why go back to a failure then? His tenure was just as big of failure and he had more time.

But the minnions will always give you a million excuses Z z z
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How was his tenure just as big a failure? He had us become a regular CL team, got us to a CL final and saw us reach levels of quality in the PL we had never seen before. Compare this to King Jose who came with the reputation of being a proven winner who had won trophies at every club he'd been at, and he failed to get top 4 two times of asking and couldn't win us a trophy.

Strange point of view.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
this is a skewed view about Poch not winning any trophies but ignoring the giant leap that happened under Poch where Spurs went from an average meh side to an exciting outfit that challenged for the titles and it was in top 3 for 3/4 seasons in a row. These achievements propelled the club to where it is now, with a money making stadium and audience.

For Spurs, that's as good as winning a trophy because it allowed the management to size up the scope of how much money will come through the entertainment whether TV, or otherwise.

Yet all these talk about Poch coming back are irrational. WHy would Poch come back somewhere he was neither backed, respected nor given credit by Levy. Instead fans went against Poch just after CL final blaming him for selecting an unfit Kane. The same fickle fans want him back now.
What is to say these fans who were impatient with a host of managers, including temp home grown one, would they support him if in his first season, hypothetically, he doesn't get us CL or trophy?
Our fans love to argue and love to think they are the best managers yet to be appointed by the club

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Poch did such a good job he's made some fans forget that we weren't this consistent top 4 and CL competing side before he came in it seems.

He might have done better at certain stages but the praise should always outweigh the criticism when it comes to Poch for any true Spurs fan, and the things he got wrong can be countered with issues that came from above him.

If fans are knocking him for his lack of silverware, then hell, why not just demand we get Ramos back?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Surely that's not the debate, though - Poch vs other previous managers. If we're seriously considering Poch it should be him vs someone similar to who he was when we hired him. Someone like Frank who's got a PL team overperforming and playing decent football
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah I know. It was more of a rebuttal to Luka's point about Poch not having won anything with us and therefore being no better than the others.

We now need to judge Poch in the context of how good a fit he is for us at the moment.

I’m starting to think ‘He who dares…’ might be Sandy. Relatively new account repeatedly asking where Sandy is, in the hope we respond by making it clear we’ve not noticed. It’s like a murderer going back to the scene of a crime for kicks. You giving us a clue Sandy?

(Using Sandy denial tactics) no, it's not me, MoreSpur

Only reason I have been asking about Sandy is because this place has been too friendly without the timer who is pure wum

At least we can have a debate now and we are all allowed to have opposing views

The problem with Pochettino is that he puts up with Levy & ENIC.
If he doesn't change and start making demands and calling the shots, especially in selecting incoming players (of which there will be plenty because there will be plenty outgoing), then you all will be destined to "more of the same".

I can tell you all now...... Kane won't be staying,
Romero wont be staying...
anyone else who's worth keeping won't be staying!

So it won't just be Pochettino...but a whole new squad as well.

GOOD DAMNED LUCK with THAT!

I have a feeling if Conte gets us top 4, and later stages of CL, Levy will be happy and will keep him

100% he’s gone. Levy doesn’t want someone with one foot out of the door, regardless of how well he does between now and the end of the season. Plus, the man he’s wanted back more than anyone is now available for free. There’s no way Conte is staying from this point. Decision made.

Thought the same thing. Another Sock Sandy account. Why would you keep asking where Sandy is?
