My goals predictor has it at Forest 1.31, Newcastle 1.33.
So that is likely to be a 1-1 draw with Johnson or Awonyi scoring for Forest and Almiron or Wilson for Newcastle.
My predictor is based purely on the season's results home/away, not recent form. As I'm retired now and don't have a tv it just gives me something to do and keep my mind active.
I've created more spreadsheets than you could shake a memory-stick at.
Unfortunately for us trickies neither Jono or Awonyi are likely to start. It makes sense to rest Brennan with a groin strain and perhaps Awonyi will get 15 minutes at the end of the game.
It would be nice to see Niakhate make the bench after his almost season long absence and Surridge get a start instead of Dennis.
Or if Jono doesn't make the squad, perhaps Dennis will start wide right with Surridge either up front or wide left?
Thanks for posting ‘chile. I’m a.little confused why you have Worrall in the team, and not Felipe.
My guess is that the back 5 will be unchanged. Yates will replace Freuler. And Dennis and Surridge will replace Johnson and Wood.
Newcastle have been firing blanks recently so I hope that continues. If Dennis plays he will win us a few free kicks in the final third. Set pieces will be our best scoring options tonight.
Stop Guimares and we will have a chance.
I watched the highlights of the academy U18s beating Man U U18s earlier this week. Score was 4-0. Looked like we have some fine talent at that level.
I think this match will give us a good indication of where we are regarding home form, imo we’ve been a bit fortunate recently, Leeds and Man City should have been more ruthless, even Wolves in the cup had chances. Newcastle are the next step up for us, but they aren’t an established top 6 team, yet. They haven’t been prolific recently, but neither have we. I’m hoping for a morale boosting win, 2-1 is my guess. Shelvey should have something to prove, and i really believe there is a decent player in Dennis, we just have to find a way to accommodate him. MGW has been a bit below par recently, hopefully he’ll be better tonight. Fingers crossed the crowd really motivate the players and we find a way to win.
Big team news... Niakhate, Johnson and Yates all start #NFFC
4-2-3-1
Navas
Aurier, Felipe, Niakhate, Lodi
Shelvey, Yates
Johnson, Gibbs-White, Dennis
Ayew
Subs: Hennessey, Worrall, Williams, Colback, Toffolo, Surridge, Freuler, Danilo, Scarpa.
By Tails
Scarpa will be jet lagged I would have thought?
Cooper seems to have fallen out with Surridge
Geordies have the same starting line up they used for their last game on Sunday. Shaar is starting even though he was reported as injured.
I just don’t really see how we can get a win in this game. We have been leaking goals and will need to sort that out. Don’t see much sign of that though. Hopefully Yates in midfield will help hopefully.
The attack doesn’t look strong as Dennis and Ayew don’t inspire confidence really.
What has happened to Lingard? Is he injured? Or just dropped? Surely if for this would be a game for him to play in?
I hope we can defend better today and would take a 0-0 for sure. We are capable of Nicking it but it’s a long shot I think
Lingard is a busted flush I suspect, getting subbed at half time against Spurs was his last chance.

As am I mate! It should have been Felipe!
Looks like a 4-5-1.
Dennis and Ayew on the wings. MGW behind Johnson.
I’d love to be proved wrong, but i don’t see what Ayew has to offer. Dennis i have no problem with at all, but Ayew is like playing with 10 men, I’d much sooner have seen Surridge have a chance, and who knows at some point in the season we may Awoniyi again, though I’m not holding my breath, a bit like Richards.
I've got to admit, a 4-2-3-1 (which seems to be the likely formation), the midfield of Yates and Shelvey in front of the back four gives me a few nerves, especially with Bruno G, Longstaff and Willock playing. I'm not sure who comes back to help those two out. It must be MGW, but he is going to be knackered by the end of the game...
We are riding our luck at the moment
Only two teams playing, but we are currently third best, we are getting taught an absolute football lesson atm.
We need to get some possession of the ball, before we concede.
Have starred like rabbits in the headlights. Need a decent attack or spell of possession

3rd best is generous at the moment 🙄
Can see how that was ever a foul let alone a yellow
What a disgraceful decision...
Dennis booked for what looked like a perfectly good tackle to me, guess tackling has been outlawed in the Prem.

And Dennis was away and running in to yards of space
1-0 Dennis, get in, terrible back pass.
