Kewllw, Viduka v Arsenal.
Hasselbaink v Arsenal.

Can we throw another spanner in their title charge?

I don't think so, BUT, might be worth a punt!

Too right Highland...it's always US v THEM!
Shame that we have 3 key players sidelined.
Would it be worth playing Rasmus, a typical RB at LB given that Saka is so dangerous cutting inside?
I would keep Harrison, Summerville and Bamford (should he start) high up the field to latch on to any clearances...and please, this might not be the game to be playing out from the back.

it would be one hell of a result if we get anything and without Wober and Gnonto that scenario seems unlikely unfortunately but if we get out of this game with no more injuries or suspensions and our goal difference not too badly dented than I think that is as good as we can expect and then all our attentions turn to Tuesday and a game we really need 3 points to keep our survival hopes alive....Arsenal 2 Leeds 0

Wober and Adams out, with Odegaard and Saka in good form, means we could be on the end of a hiding here.

Like most of us, then, probably, I'm expecting nothing from this game ... but I'm hoping, always, to bag the three points and keep a clean sheet - that would be such a result, at this stage of the season!

Thanks for the thread as usual, Highland. Onwards and upwards, with any luck!

3 nil home banker. Think we could have given them a game with a full sqaud, but we look a bit depleted imo. Just keep the score down and look to beat Forest midweek.

I was at that match where Rocky scored for Leeds, wonderful player, even better person.

So gutted when he passed.

Oh Rocky Rocky....

Love it having the underdog tag, it has a habit off biting!..

In the past people have done it to us, and we've done it to others, not saying it will but no reason why it can't happen tomorrow!..

A bit off faith in the players and the 12th man, together they'll bring a bit more out off whoever wears that shirt!..

You have a really strange hatred for Arsenal.
You need to look at your own team with the amount of cheats you have such as rat boy Fernandes. Surely most proper Man United fans would prefer Arsenal to win the league over Man City? Unless you live in London!

I should be walking the magnificent Milford track this weekend but Covid had other ideas. Flights, hotel, transfers, hut passes, the works, gone in the blink of a virus. But every cloud has a silver lining and it means I will get to hide behind the sofa with the dog at 3.00 a.m. to see us blow up the Arsenal.
In some ways, our injury situation is more manageable than many think. We have become adept at holding back and choosing the moment to strike. There is also a blueprint for holding Arsenal at bay and while they have shown the resolve to score late winners, so have we.
Ngonto is a huge loss, but Harrison and Somerville offer some threat and if Sini is fit, he can create chaos in an instant.
Playing deeper will suit Rodrigo. Although Bamford offers good hold-up play, chances will be few and he is not the kind of player to capitalise on them. Rodrigo has to start.
The midfield is tricky. No-one can offer what Adams brings to the team, but if we play with Coops and Koch at centre back, perhaps Struijk can play in front of them and allow McKinnie and Roca some breathing space. Whatever happens, the midfield and defence will be pretty crowded and Arsenal have struggled to get past teams who do this, notably Bournemouth and Villa.
If we can keep it down to a single goal for an hour, we could see some chinks in their armour. Gracia has made some smart tactical changes in recent games and I expect him to prove a worthy adversary to Arteta.
The pressure is on Arsenal to win this, but we also have the opportunity to give players like Rutter, Gyabi and Perkins front row in the shooting gallery.
I think this game will be very close. We have players who will want to exact revenge for our defeat at Elland Road, so the idea of a Leeds capitulation is out of the question, but we also have to balance our commitment in terms of the crucial matches ahead.
2-1 to the Mighty Whites, with Sini to steal a late winner.

Thursdays trainng looked like Pacal was replacing Max, also if they go down the route they were set up as it might raise a few eyebrows, one thing I have learned is depending on the injury players have different recovery times and how many minutes they can play, might be an hour might be 10 minutes so just because we see someone back in the squad doesnt mean they will play, the million subs doesnt help if you get my meaning,

Would really fancy us at full strength but still think we can get something. Time for rutter and sinisterra to cause some trouble.
Any Leeds fans able to go on the arsenal game thread? Its closed to me for some reason. A sensitive London thing?

Without trying to hammer the lad I just can't see any merit in playing Aaronson and definitely not in a central midfield or number 10 position.

He doesn't fill me with any confidence that his presence benefits Leeds in anyway and unfortunately he seems to be way out of his depth in the Premier league but I sincerely hope he can prove me wrong.

Also I personally would prefer Struiyk not to play in Wober's absence at the back and I hope Gracia sees that against Arsenal our midfield definitely needs shoring up which I think Struiyk would be our best hope of achieving that playing alongside Roca and Mckennie.

Whatever the lineup though, I will bow to Gracia's judgement on this issue and I just hope we can at least give Arsenal a fright and not be a soft touch today.

Gracia's judgement on Aaronson is wrong.
There just has to be someone, anyone better than him.

I'm expecting nothing from today.

But hoping we don't get thrashed. Wober has made
our entire back line respectable. Adams has been
a rock in midfield. Two massive losses. Backs against
the wall today. Arsenal look dead certs for the title.

If goal difference is a key factor is staying up then a 2 nil defeat today would actually not be a bad result and then you'd have to say of our remaining fixtures only Man City away has the potential to seriously dent our goals against column which again I think if we can escape there with a 2 nil defeat we have done alright.
