I think Potter would do OK at a club of Spurs’ size and scale of ambition
Give a manager a team to manage.
Employ back room staff to sign players for the manager to manage.
Give the manager less time to manage those players over and above the time given to those players.
Give the manager a 3-4 year contract in order to do so.
Sack the manager and pay him off, because he is the cheaper option.
Keep the back room staff who signed the players.
Keep the players who are signed.
Conclusion:
The epitome of the short term vision club, who has owners that want success now, and when that success doesn’t happen (in 7 months, when nothing can be really won or lost), panic and sack the easiest choice.
Equals:
Joke of a club that has leaders at the helm who don’t know how to lead.
Rinse and repeat, across clubs all over the country. No matter how big or small.
Going forward: same mistakes made again 18 months later…
…and…
…rinse and repeat.

On the contrary, he is the sort of man Levy would like, in that he's a yes man who won't rock the boat in anything he says or does. It's all a matter of if he's actually good enough to get Spurs in contention for the top prizes and that is obviously a much bigger question now after what's happened with Chelsea.

I hate deleting posts - but “Ooby Dooby” is the most pathetic thing I have seen on this site and I often interact with Maf
Both of you stop with the ridiculousness names or I will delete it

He has lost a bit of his appeal but I guess I'd still have him in a top 5 or 6 list.

I just think we’re the wrong club for him - I could never see him working well with Levy and the confines he places on a manager

On the contrary, he is the sort of man Levy would like, in that he's a yes man who won't rock the boat in anything he says or does. It's all a matter of if he's actually good enough to get Spurs in contention for the top prizes and that is obviously a much bigger question now after what's happened with Chelsea.
