I support Tottenham Hotspur but identify as a jar of pickled onions?

I think option 1 is the only way to be as a Spurs supporter.... If you are 3 for too long I fear you'll end up with a drinking problem & no hair

Jeez you really went in on those that want to win a trophy

Forums by their very nature tend to be full of opinated people who are prone to hysteria.

Alot of the folk I socialise, work and play football with are Oxford fans and if I told them Spurs are in crisis (5th in the Prem) they'd quite rightly give me a slap.

A trophy would be lovely but I'm addicted to the pain and drama that comes with following Spurs so I don't get too hung about it.

It would be great to come out of such a shocking season with a CL place but we'll have to finish strongly to achieve it and I'm not sure our gutless overpaid lot have got the minerals.

We'll know alot more after tonight!!?

How I see Spurs fans broadly in general:

1. Old school die hard. Team has to play attacking football above all else. Became a fan when we were a cup team, maybe while Gazza was around. Wants the team to win an FA Cup occasionally but not above anything else. Mostly Levy in.
2. New school fan. Is a fan because of attacking exciting football, maybe cos of Redknapp or Bale, maybe even Poch. Cares about xG. Doesn't get why we're in the CL most years but don't take trophies seriously. Mostly Levy out.
3. Armchair fan. Gets angry we haven't signed (unrealistic) player X or did sign player Y and doesn't play every week. HATES players that make mistakes that lead to goals. Definitely Levy & ENIC out.

Just want good football myself currently, fed up of years of crap since Poch was sacked.

With Poch I wanted trophies as we had been playing good football for a number of years, I didn’t think we’d go backwards so badly with the wrong managers since.

Was happy to give Conte a chance, I’ve liked him since his Juve days but just didn’t work out.

Interesting and odd at the same time that I almost find myself being all three catagories even though I have been a fan since 1977......

I am fan that gravitates towards the magic and character a player brings to the team. From Hoddle to Gazza, from Sheringham to Ginola, from Bale to Kane.

I do find it a struggle though when I hear fans start talking about Kane being our best ever player. Understandable up to a certain age I suppose.

I am a hybrid of 1 and 3 - I want to win, mostly by playing good football.

I’m desperate for a trophy because we’re getting to nearly 2 decades without one.

Forgot to add that my biggest disappointment with the club is not trying to win “secondary” trophies like the League cup, FA cup or the Europa’s
