Dont think we need 2 cbs, one should do it.
TIllman will be bought as far as im aware we have already activated the release clause in talks with TIllman and he wants to join.
Jack should be kept on if he agrees to a reduction in wages if not let him go... very useful player to have but unreliable in terms of injuries.
Agree with the rest.
We wont be signing 12 players IMO thats far too much. Beale has said he want to trim the squad size down
Agree with Whodunnit re Kent, also not convinced that Morelos will go either. Should be a positive that Beale is directly involved with transfers for this window

I think Beale pretty much confirmed that Morelos is off.
He said that he hasnt seen enough from him since he came back and that no talks have taken place with him and wont
Out of contract
McGregor - The end.
Helander - See ya
Jack - Give him a short term deal
Arfield - Tempted to keep around as the backups backup
Davis - Unfortunate end but we can't be nostalgic
Tillman - Buy him
Kent - Would re-sign but think he's off.
Morelos - Please go
I'm not convinced we can sell Kamara or Roofe, if decent offers come in of course we take them.
Matondo has to be moved on no matter what. One from Lundstram/Kamara and Colak/Roofe
Even Yilmaz if we could get our money back but wouldn't count on that
Next season
GK / McCrorie / McLaughlin
Barasic / Yilmaz
Goldson / Souttar / King
CB / Davies
Tavernier / Devine
CM / Kamara or Lundstram / Jack
Raskin / Cantwell / Lawrence
LW / LW
Hagi / Tillman
RW / Sakala / Wright
FW / FW / Roofe or Colak
A minimum of 7 required and half of them need to be cracking signings.
Going to need to find the best part of 20m

depends on what free transfers we have lined up quite a bit in wages will be freed up so there will be plenty scope to work with.
I think Tillman is worth the £6m. We need to not be precious about selling on players like that when we get good offers though. Even something like £10m with a sell-on clause would be good business as you can get two good players at £5m each. Signing three players each at the £2m range is much more of a gamble though. Probably two of them will flop and be moved on at a loss while the third would be a good squad player but unlikely to make us good bank.
We're not able to reinvest like that tbh, if we make 10m we can spend 6m-7m of it best case scenario.
I think the gamble with Tillman is that is exactly what we thought we would do with Kent. The bid never came, he's about to walk out and leave us 7m in the hole.

I dont buy into this comparison with Kent.
He is younger than Kent was when he joined and the numbers he has posted in his first ever pro season are better than any season Kent has ever produced.
More rebuilds than Carol Vorderman’s coupon.
The comparison in terms of buying a promising youngster for big money is obvious surely.
Both loaned in then being bought for big money in Rangers terms. We can ill afford to lose Kent for nothing, we absolutely cannot make the same mistake again.

its an unfair comparison. to say buying tillman is the same scenario as Kent.
Tillman 2 years younger than Kent was, has contributed more in his debut season as a pro than any season Kent has ever had. Kent was 7-7.5m depending on where you go.... Tillman will be 5-5.5 depending on where you go.
Tillman more proven, cheaper and much earlier in his development than kent was.
I'd keep Tillman if we could though it looks like a lot of money for us to shell out.
I'd also keep Kent but it seems like he's decided to move on.
I think you can draw the parallel between the deals regardless of what either player showed in their loan season.
They are deals the club need to make money off by selling the players on, it's verging on a disaster losing Kent and the 7m we paid for nothing. That mistake cannot be replicated with Tillman, at a certain point we just have to sell these players and not play hard ball over fees.

Agree on that, would be good to have both next season.
Although i'd rather have Kent and spend nothing than Tillman and spend 6m on him, partly because it's the same position Hagi plays in and he's another we need to make money on which we won't do if he's not playing.

I see there are more players unavailable through injury for tomorrow's game. Might be good to invest in the medical team? Or investigate to see what's behind all these injuries. Training? Pitches? It really is a frightening injury list Rangers have had this season.

its one of the areas that ross wilson overlooked. one of the reason we have been unhappy with him... I imagine that will be addressed with the new DoF
Can't believe anyone wouldn't have Tillman. Decent money to fork out but you double that at least in a couple of years. His ceiling is as high as anyone we have had in recent years.
Unrealistic to think we sell or lose that many and I don't think we need to. We need to add 4/5 starters for sure but there are others there who are good enough to be retained as part of the squad.
A new keeper was a must last summer and is more important this one. A centre back just as important and at least 2 forwards. Depending on Kent you're looking at that area as well. From a starting 11 perspective I think that is enough to upgrade the quality of the team significantly.
Fash said something about a £10M budget. Is that based on player sales or thinking about potential Euro money from next season?
If it is player sales then who are you selling to get that money? From what I read in the article and comments there aren't many players getting you decent money. Your potential decent money players are now either too old or out of contract.
FWIW I think Morelos will still be there next season. No one wants an unfit player with a bad attitude. He should have been sold 2 years ago (if any offers did come in).
Kent may view the end of his contract as an opportunity for a club in England, maybe even a top Championship side, to take a chance on him so the risk for him leaving is worth it. Morelos risk is different.
IF you have £10M to spend and you are spending £5-6M on Tillman then to replace a significant amount of players will have to be a very shrewd market or a lot of loanees.
Of course it is possible. Postecoglou did a remarkable job rebuilding Celtic on modest spending (negative net spend I believe) but he at least had decent money from Edouard and Christie to start with.
The other side is quite simply is Beale a good manager? I remember when Gerrard finally came good and everyone was talking aboput how good the DoF was at identifying potential in players. He is now persona non grata, Gerrard is gone and it is now his number 3 in charge of you - the supposed brains. Yet all I see in his play is get the ball to the full backs and get it in the air.
Your best potential right now is in Tillman. he reminds me of Kent when he was on loan at you. A capable player who isn't consistent. Of course you should sign him but at 60% of your budget to - in the words of many Rangers fans when we signed Jota and CCV - "stand still".
Anything can happen but as a Celtic fan I do not worry about you improving next season based on the turnaround you have to do. The current squad is not far off us but while we do not need an overhaul, you do.
Mark Allen was the DoF when Gerrard came to us .... Ross WIlson came in half way through his regime i think?
I’m sure Christian Nerlinger will sort it all out.
