All those names again just deja-vue of going after big names and the cycle of hire-fail-sack which we have seen multiple times recently. If Nagelsmann does not come, and I think De Zerbi has effectively alienated himself with the Spurs fans (some) and hierarchy, so no chance of that happening . The rest are meh

Why not just give it to Mason? Someone who has the club at heart, knows the fans, knows what the fans want, and has already a very well established rapport with the main players like Kane, Dier and Sonny.

I'd rather we spent 2-3 years under Mason rebuilding the squad up, and integrating youth into it with a mixture of older players, and then see where it takes us.

Going after names that are house hold celebrities won't work - it's just won't with Spurs and a tight chairman.

Nice as he is I do not think Mason has the gravitas or the ability to draw players to us. He also lacks experience, most of his work is sidelines under Conte. Think it was a condition to retain him when Conte was appointed, but from what I know he plays little or no part in tactics or team selection.

I agree about De Zerbi though, think we have had enough of crazy Italian coaches, not sure Stellini is the current answer either. He is just a Conte light coach in my opinion.

I wouldn’t exactly say that Potter is a household name and I actually like the type of football he likes his team to play.

At Chelsea he had a top class squad but none of them play as a team.
This is also an affliction at Spurs in that we have some terrific players, with the addition of 2-3 players in key positions we would have a team to challenge anyone in the PL.

Missed Potter.

Anyone who dismisses Bentancur so easily doesn’t in my opinion really understand football. E is a quality player and overall was easily our best midfield player this season. Agree that Hojbjerg is underrated by a lot of our fans. I think Son’s confidence as effected by the way we are currently playing. He is still a quality player and one I would certainly like to keep.
Football is about many things but key amongst these are confidence, ability, fitness and team work.
At present I believe we are lacking in confidence and missing team spirit and getting these back is fundamental to us moving forward.

Obviously no-one is dismissing Bentancur. He's class. He's also got a serious injury that will be a challenge to fully recover from.

Heard a rumour from a source in Reuters it's Kompany

I am 100% behind this

Winner on the pitch, done good at Burnley without spending billions

Didn't Eze have a similar injury? Took him along time to get back to where he is now.

You don't replace our best midfielder cos he's out injured tho.

You don't gamble on him coming back the same player straight away either. Got to buy a properly good midfielder to come in now, and if Bentancur manages to come back, then great. Spurs have two good midfielders.

When was the last time that was the case

Perfect opportunity for Bissouma to stake a claim.

I think we can cope with Skipp, Sarr(both should progress for next season), PEH and Biss until Bents comes back.

We have more pressing concerns with a new GK and CB's. But it would be typical of us to go out and buy another CM or RB because that's what Tottenham do best.

Oh I don't mind buying another midfielder but why are we talking about replacing our best midfielder? That's dumb

We seriously lack creativity. It’s been far too long since spurs had a decent attacking midfielder.

I’m so sick of two dm’s every week. So sick of defensive boring football.

I miss the Harry and Poch days

Yeah that's idiotic. Give the guy a chance to get fit again first.

In an ideal world we would sell PEH and upgrade but we won't. His contract is up in 2025 so we should be aiming to get max value this summer.

I like him but surely we can get someone abit more dynamic and forward thinking.

No top manager with any kind of ambition will want to come and work for Levy & ENIC if they have other options. Top coaches want to seriously challenge for the top honours, not be scraping for 4th place with limited squad.

The only way a top coach comes to Spurs is if they are at a loose end and fancy topping up their pension for 18 months, it`s an easy gig, get £15m a year and have no pressure to win anything, just finish in the top four with a sub standard squad and when that doesn`t happen get sacked with a large pay off.

ENIC OUT.
