City will fack up, still in it

posted on 16/4/23

Yeah congrats to City again.

They were always going to come through in the end

It's done.

Arsenal have spursed it up when it matters

I never really thought we were going to trump City in the end.

I just don't want us to collapse completely now

It’s not over obviously but not sure we quite have the squad and mentality to dig it out now. Injuries and pressure mounting up and we probably don’t quite have what it takes. Amazing season from us either way, no one expected this. Just hope we don’t go into full collapse mode now

Ah, Castor, the eternal optimist.

Even if Saliba is only half fit they might as well risk it it Holding is a disaster. He shouldn't be at the club anymore. Either your good enough or your not none of this good squad player nonsence.

You literally never think we're going to win a SINGLE GAME until the whistle's blown after 90 mins ffs! So this for you is par for the course

Definitely isn’t over but the advantage is with City. They are on fire at the minute and have the easier run in.

Do you lot still need to go to SJP as well?

That performance after going 2 up was disgraceful.
Werent even trying

Wouldn't give in yet. Probably be a long, long time before you're challenging for a league again, so you need to fight right to the end. If you as fans don't have the stomach to do that, how do you expect your players to?

Golden opportunity that probably won't come around again for a good while. Failing to capitalise would be absolutely criminal.

Are you surprised? From the most negative, flip floppy fan base in the land?

It'll be back to Arteta out in 2 weeks. After they hounded out their greatest ever employee, nobody is safe.

People thinking that Arsenal will win the title remind me of this:

Balance is key.
Wenger was past it for years before he finally left. If the top brass had the balls to make the right decisions for the club, he would have not been hounded out by the fans.

Arteta is still learning unfortunately. The fact that he did not stress the importance of not exciting the afield crowd (or maybe he did) and then took too long to make necessary changes to stem the tide, is testament to him still learning. And today...Saka was having a bad bad game (by his standards) and he somehow chose to hook Martinelli and Jesus. Criminal. Partey is the glue that holds the midfield together..why not bring Jorginho on for Xhaka? Odegaard on an empty tank is miles better than Vieira this season. Again..bad decisions.

But fantastic season this one. Man City are a freak team due to financial doping, so running them this close is an achievement. Hopefully we bring in a few better players, shift out some of the poorer ones and go again next season.

Chelsea and man utd also financially dope, why are they mid-table then? You have spent more than Liverpool have in the same period they have won a league title and achieved 90 plus points.

You making excuses for your team unnecessarily so. You are 4 points clear with 7 games to go. Back your team and quit the lame excuses.

Absolutely never an excuse. It just highlights the sort of fan base you have. If it was the "top brass" then aim it at them, not the greatest employee in the club's history. Dreadful, embarassing treatment.

You're assuming you continue next season as you had this season but I don't think you do. Think you've over achieved this year's and you're more likely to be battling for 4th next year than another title. Bottling the title at this stage would be a complete disaster. The opportunity may not come again for a long time.
