Just remains to be seen how well he will do with his Leicester type club next season to make a true comparison with Rodgers.

He's doing pretty well this season against your Rangers-type club.

I think he might be the reason Spurs haven't made an appointment yet.

The final wish for all bears.

Not a chance a huge club like that are going to take a gamble on a relatively unknown manager who has beaten absolute dross and a flimsy Rangers side in a league that is almost universally scoffed at.

Keep hoping though.

In other news, I fcking hate Barca

Being reported on SSN that they are in talks with La Liga regarding their spending limits, in order to step up their efforts to bring Messi back to the Nou Camp next season

I mean FFS

Breached their limit with 3 players last season
Had to re-register the lad Gavi as a youth player
Getting investigated for payments made to a company linked with a Spanish refereeing official

Taking the absolute pi$$

In Champions League news.

Rangers are set to be seeded in both the 3rd round and PO round of qualifiers with only Ajax having more points (and they could still qualify automatically which would make us the top seeds in qualifying)

Not had a look but probably pot 4.

Although possibly 3. There are a few teams that look like they could get in that haven't been in Europe for a while so they won't have many points. Newcastle, RC Lens if they get 2nd, Union Berlin don't have many.

Real Sociedad and Lazio just ahead of you but behind us.

IF we make it pretty certain we will be pot 3.

For me Ange shades it, and tbf to the bears on here for the reasons they have posted. The rebuild Ange had to do and to keep us in the running until we could strengthen further in the Jan window was top coaching for me. You only have to look at some of our team selections in the first season and how bad we were hampered if we had any injuries etc. That said Rodgers did a fantastic job as well, brought better standards etc in, only for it to be washed away (literally) by offering the job to NL 😡

Ange is providing some great performances, and excellent entertainment. He will be a great one day soon, I'm sure. Rodgers will forever be remembered for the way he exited the club, which irks many (including me).
Perhaps Rodger's recent misfortune in the PL will heal some old wounds, but I will remember the consecutive seasons with trebles. Unbeaten records. Goal tallies and GD records. Some true talents in that team too.
Also leaving us on course for another trebble. Did he ruin our 10IAR hopes? For sure. It's the thing which invites this debate.
Ange is writing himself into Celtic folklore, but Rodger's is already there imo. No denying it, Ange is doing excellent, but still has more to prove which needs to be done in Europe.
In his favour, this team looks more difficult to beat domestically with tactics alone. His squad are less about star performers and seems to have better depth. The team plan seems to be to run opposition into the ground and create chances in transitions, it works, I love it.

Both managers have become famous for their substitution tactics, Rodger's for tweaks, Ange for legs and drive. If Ange could only learn to read an opponent the way Rodgers could, I think we would have the complete package already. Ange might win a trebble this season. I hope so. A good thing, after Gerrard looked to have turned the tide for Rangers. I'm just glad we're comparing Celtic's last two managers and not Celtic and Ranger's manager. It speaks volumes about Celtic's consistency. I think Ange wins in signings, Rodger's in Europe (for now) and domestically also for the moment. Ange has been up against a Rangers with few teeth and a bargain basement manager. Sure, they may be EL finalists and SC holders but let's not kid ourselves. If Rangers had a warberton now this would be a different story. Hoping for a trebble and look forward to another window.

If Celtic win the cup as well as the remaining league games, I think that is better than Rodgers invincible season. Of course, going undefeated the whole domestic season was fantastic, but we dropped points in 4 games. So far this season in only 2. Good discussion to be having though

Word is that we're interested in Ange. Sounded him out but he didn't want to leave mid-season, unlike Rodgers.

Rodgers did great things for us until it all went massively south and we've got Smith until the end of the season when we'll then turn our attention back to Ange.

Would be excited to get him and hope it turns out as well as Rodgers first couple of seasons with us did.

I love ange but he isn't a great manager, he's not a tactician who can read the game and mix it up.

I think this is a tad harsh, the last 2 old firm games he's made tactical changes and swung the game back in our favour

We warned you all that it would go south when you were all giddy at how it started.

So just because you didn't listen doesn't mean you can come take our new great leader

Did Rodgers walk or was he chased?

Would Rodgers have stayed if he'd been backed like Ange?

Did Rodgers push his luck with Edouard leading to a breakdown with Lawwell?

Did Lawwell push his luck with Kouassi, Compper, Arzani, Mulumbu, Shved, Tolman, Gutman, Perez, Weah, Bayo and all the other dross leading to a breakdown with Rodgers?

You're dreaming. Rodgers left Celtic because of a particular set of circumstances in his personal life at tge time. Otherwise he would never have left Celtic for a provincial club.

Ange wouldn't even consider a club with such limited potential.

Rodgers has a shelf life, we all knew that when he came. But an FA Cup, Charity Shield and two European campaigns was more than we could have hoped for. But now we move on.

Do you think Ange could cut it in the Premier League?

Yes, but thankfully they are so far up themselves with the 'who's turn is it again next?' crowd.
