at this moment all he has done for City means nothing.
we will shall see at the end of the season and his time at City to just how many records he sets and what he achieves.
Worrying thing is you can see the team suffered a bit as a collective, whilst the team made adjustments to accommodate him. Next season he will be even better as long as he stays fit. He rarely even gets to play 90 minutes it's mad.

Not sure what more you would have expected of him at this stage? He has helped City to the semi finals of the 2 big Cup competitions and in close contention for the PL title. Yes they haven't been won yet but that tends to be the case at this stage of April.
Will he stay long enough to break records? He looks destined for Real Madrid to me

nothing. all im saying is that wait til he has broken the records and won things. And as you said its better to wait til the season is ended. He will likely smash records and win things for as long as he is at City, i suspect he will be off in 2 seasons. as other have said I think he will be real madrid bound.
tbh i could have finished half the chances that are put on a plate for him.
But his movement is superb and his finishing is pretty deadly. he doesnt miss too many.
In this respect he is very Shearer like as a striker, but Shearer also had goals from range in his locker.
Would be interested to see his averge scoring position. Probably 6-8 yards out.

It's funny but I thought his contract is with City, and if so, yes there is a lot they can do about it.
He's in talks with City about a new deal so they can remove his 155m buy out clause.
Much I think depends on the Champions League, if City can win it and then look more like winning it than Real Madrid for a few years they might be able to keep him.
Arguably they need to sign Benzema's replacement this summer.

yeah but no one able to confirm its changing the clause or removing it.... from what I read looks like they are looking to change the value in it but not remove it ?
When his agent was questioned on real madrid she said
"There is the Premier League, and there is Real Madrid. Real Madrid has something of its own that makes it the dreamland for the players."
When City enquired about buying Kane, Spurs set the price at somewhere north of £125m from memory. They were perfectly entitled to do that as they held his contract. City were also quite entitled to say 'no thanks' and walk away, which they did. It is the same with Haaland, Real can enquire, City can refuse or set a price unless and until a Release Clause becomes active, at which point the player has a significant say in the matter.
The other issue that people forget is that Real is a bit of a madhouse, and joining them is taking a gamble on who the current manager is, who the manager next season will be and probably the one after that.
Everybody kept telling us that David Silva and Kun would be off to Spain and that never happened. City offer stability and whilst the weather is better in Spain is better, the gamble of who will be in charge is significant and at City Haaland gets to play with probably the best midfield in the world as well as the best manager/coach in world football with the best training facilities and a world class stadium.

You got a link that confirms his clause was removed? I hihgly doubt he would have removed it and nothing else changed.
He is now looking to renegotiate the clause and at the same time increase his wages.
In a further boost to City it has emerged that a release clause that was written into his present contract has been withdrawn. The clause would have allowed Haaland to leave the club for a fee of £175 million but it was removed because Pep Guardiola signed a two-year contract extension as manager in November.

https://theathletic.com/4425390/2023/04/19/erling-haaland-manchester-city-contract/
etc.... all reporting that they are in talks all 24 hours old or less.
Haaland joined City from Borussia Dortmund last summer for the relatively low transfer fee of £51.2million, which was inserted into his contract when he agreed to move to Germany from Red Bull Salzburg in December 2019.
The 22-year-old’s City contract also contained a clause that permitted him to leave for £150m in the summer of 2024 — at the end of his second season — if a club met the terms and he wanted to make the move.
However, the clause was specifically linked to Pep Guardiola’s future in Manchester and was cancelled when the Catalan renewed his own contract in November, committing himself to the club until 2025.

nothing here says they have agreed anything just that they are in talks just now.
Maybe Im wrong but when it comes to contracts I do actually have a little bit of inside knowledge, not loads but some.
Unless the clause had a clause it would need to be legally removed and to do so would require a new agreement.
What do his assist stats look like? Dribbles? Etc.
He may break all the records but will never even sniff the title of best ever just because he's scoring a lot of tap ins.
People like Henry, Suarez and Messi will always be better because they scored having left 4 defenders on their ass and placed the ball out of the keepers reach using sheer skill, not pace. A robot that does nothing but tap ins
But one thing he might be the best at is scoring tap ins.
No player in the history of football could score a tap in the way Haaland scores tap ins. His skill at converting tap ins is unmatched, I'll give you that.
