Today showed the importance of 2-3 key players. Yes we’ve a decent squad and more than good enough to win the title
My concern now is bringing back both Jota and Hatate next weekend is firstly the right thing to do, and secondly if we do what shape and fitness level will they be at?
Have to say that anything like today and Rangers will progress in the cup.
Hey ho
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pretty much this. Have seen little from Iwata that suggests he is anything more than 'tidy'. Ditto Haksabanovic - multiple starts now and none particularly effective. Of course, for both these are relative to the incumbents but nevertheless that is the measure.
We really could have done with Abada today arriving at the back stick to put away one of the myriad crosses. Maeda had a few vain attempts but even when he gets there on time it is a lottery which bit of his body the ball then bounces off. I love his attributes but he is still a £2m player. MOR has been better of late but he suffered from those around him yesterday.
The writing was on the wall. Glad there seemed no new injuries and no red card - Kyogo, looking at you, mate. Maybe some sympathy when the league is all but done and there's a big game coming up. It really looked like players with an eye on that.?
For Hak to be replaced by Kyogo says a lot. For the latter to be left on for 90 when we really need him next week says Ange doesn't always make the right calls cf Mooy in the last derby - he's still not fit!
No further comment on GT. Surprised we don't lose more goals like that. Praise Van Veen rather than GT who was in panic stations.
The midfield needs won next week to stand a chance. Assuming Hatate is still gubbed then unfortunately we go again with only Jota for Hak? The game will be more open and that will suit us. Rangers have to go for it.
Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou is the latest manager to be considered for the Chelsea job, though former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino remains the frontrunner. (Observer)

No surprise that Motherwell came with their usual negative and delaying tactics. I was slightly surprised that Kettlewell didn't go more positive as the game went on. The game was there to be won.
Hatate has been badly missed apart from 20 minutes at Killie. We'll be in trouble next week if we play like that again. Rangers are definitely at least as good as Motherwell.
Ange should have got a tip watching Motherwell then if they went down easy and slowed the game for the European scene.

Agreed ginger, when you beat rangers at celtic Park the jokes and jollyness between the bhoys on here was flowing for a week.
Drop a rare point v Motherwell and folk moaning Motherwell went down too easy, just can't accept you maybe we're not at your best.
Rangers being dropped into it they do the same.
Last couple of games celtic got a late equaliser and Rangers had a goal chopped off that was dubious.
But no Rangers fall all over the place as well đ

No comparison between the two clubs.
Have to say, Van Veen played well yesterday, he created the chance himself and scored with a composed finish. 20 goals in 30 matches, in a team that was mince for most of the season?
Can see Rangers taking a punt on him, at 31 years old he'd probably cost around £300K.

Playing the so called big teams in Europe I always felt we'd score from set pieces.

But no Rangers fall all over the place as well đ
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Jeez. You're 13 points behind. 10 if you win today.
You're now able to beat the other teams on a regular basis so the league will get tighter but you're miles behind Celtic in every respect.
Celtic fans are entitled to be pleased with their team and club and entitled to have a moan when things don't go well.
If you think a decision that was 'dubious' (your own word) had a major bearing on things then you're even more deluded than you come across on here.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well I can talk about rangers without having dig after dig at celtic, like you do at rangers so I stay deluded and you can look sad.
Good deal.

There is a lot to dig at at rangers to be fair.

Very true
Rangers are a set piece team and go down at the slightest contact to get set pieces
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Like celtic were under o neil, sutton, hartson, larsson,
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't disagree. As successful as we were it wasn't the most attractive football but it was effective. Similar to Strachan too.
Playing the so called big teams in Europe I always felt we'd score from set pieces.

Would be happy if we actually were a set piece team, if it meant we were winning the league. Wouldn’t care how we get there

TBF him and Cammy Devlin could be a great combination.
