Worth remembering they also lost to Forest mid week and couldn’t beat a United side in a cup semi that were there for the taking.
They’ve done remarkably well Brighton but we can’t copy their model entirely - they are a budget club who would see 6/7th as a major success. We Albee’s to aim higher.
That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t follow their scouting work, we absolutely should but it also needs to have top established players mixed in for us to continue going forwards as a club.
Also it was Wolves who have been pathetic this season - they only managed to beat us 1-0.
Paul barber who is in the Brighton set up and responsible for a lot that is good there, left spurs a few years back because he couldn’t work with our board 👍

All valid points but let's take each on its merit.
They did lose in the SF to United but that is because they lack quality in depth. Remember, United spent £2.5bn on their squad adding the likes of Casemiro, Anthony, Varane, Eriksen, Weghorst etc... in the end, that game was a bridge too far for them. Getting to SF is already a remarkable achievement for them
Brighton are a budget side and uinternally, work really hard to stay within their contraints - as I see this day in and out, living so close to the ground and reading local news.
Spurs, under Levy, have been spending like a budget club with some outlays on players that are purely based on chairman's whims and desires, than any actual demand from the manager. The list of players who were acquired relatively expensively but did not fit the manager's plans are massive for example, Ndombele, Danjuma, Bergwijn, Lo Celso, Richarlison, etc
Most of these players do not even play for the club...Some could argue for Danjuma/Richy but seriously that's like £70m there with those two alone!
We have basically become institutionally a failure in almost all departements of the club. Media, acquisition of players, bringing through the next gen of players, and recruitment of manager!
Everything to do with managing a Footballing club we have become rotten at!
Instead, we are now very good at concerts, US football and dazzling hospitality section.
I think Ryan Mason will be offered the permanent vacancy as its the cheapest option

The problem with people like levy is that they are so successful in money matters that they think they know better than everyone else at everything. So so so many good people have left spurs because they were limited or overruled by levy and Donna whatever her name is. They think they know better than the likes of Poch etc. That is why we have gone from one catastrophic football decision to another. They simply cannot help but get involved in matters they do not understand. It’s all ego. I’m a firefighter but I wouldn’t get involved in building the fire engines.
If levy could appoint a football director and have absolute zero control over it, and focus on Beyoncé and go karting, we probably would win stuff.

I gave Ryan a 7 for the Utd game. His HT talk seemed to have galvanised a sorry looking team, and in the second half, we should have won it and were unlucky not to have - that's a remarkable turn around!
He is on L plate still though for me but utimately, if Ryan keeps getting the result then I have no issues in him being appointed as manager.

True. But at least I won’t despise hearing him interviewed after every game.
I dont get the obsession with Brighton. They play once a week. They have no expensive stars on wage demands. We have gems it's just most fans demand prem experience. Same reason some fans didn't give Spence a chance because he hadn't played in prem before or a higher league.
Grass is always greener with some Spurs fans. We have talent in our squad they are mainly attacking and we haven't had attacking coaches since Poch. Alfie Devine and co should be playing more often.

I think Ryan Mason will be offered the permanent vacancy as its the cheapest option
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe, if Ryan gets the CL then for Levy that is like the Holy grail, and he will offer him the job....
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’d rather Mason than Enrique 👍
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I gave Ryan a 7 for the Utd game. His HT talk seemed to have galvanised a sorry looking team, and in the second half, we should have won it and were unlucky not to have - that's a remarkable turn around!
He is on L plate still though for me but utimately, if Ryan keeps getting the result then I have no issues in him being appointed as manager.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ultimately, as proven, it doesn’t matter who the manager is, the set up at spurs is so poor it nearly always fails. I’d rather have one of our own fighting for us than some Johnny big name fighting the board for 18 months and then leaving.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
On the flip side you don't want one of own to be damaged by the boundaries Levy sets.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Considering their resources compared to ours and the style of football it is easy to be impressed by them.
