Speaking of shat, anyone here had a colonoscopy before?! Fack me, had my first yesterday, the prep was miserable
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I haven’t but I’ve had colonic irrigation done plenty of times, and I paid for the pleasure😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Take the win, safe now so we won’t win again this season.
Beach time.
Ninth clean sheet at home this season i think. Quite remarkable really.
Molineux has become a fortress under Lopetegui.

Oof, hope alls ok!!
Well that was much better, very similar to the Brentford game but sadly without the gift of a late penalty.
As I said last week, when we switch on and defend reasonably well we at least have a chance of nicking a goal and taking points, perfect example today. Not a vintage performance by any means but will take them points.
And Stuart Attwell eh? What a
twat. Takes every opportunity to stop the game, always been the same.

It would be a disaster if we got money and one of the most highly rated young forwards in world football in exchange for Neves.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oops. I read it we were offering Neves plus £26m for a striker that scores one in eight?
My bad, Amiga.
Just checked and I did read the post correctly.
The reports are that we pay €33m plus Neves for a 20 year old kid that sits on Barcas bench and scores a goal in every eight appearances?
Sounds nearly as bad as the Fabio Silva deal to me. It reeks of Mendes self interest again.
If we don’t want a repeat of this seasons struggles, we need to prioritise bringing in a proven, top class goal scorer, a proper number nine.
Obviously, if you don’t rate Neves very highly then the deal becomes more palatable
I agree WO,
Just posted it as it was on the net. For me, we sell a player who is world class and then spend millions on a 20 y. o. who is not necessarily a goal scorer.
Madness.
I misread it then. Fact is, that we are not going to get much for Neves when he only has a year left on his contract. Teams aren't going to pay big money for him when they can wait a year and get him for free.
Ansu Fati is one of the most highly rated young players in the world. The reason he hasn't started much this season is due to returning from injury. Previous seasons he was scoring 1 in 3 and 1 in 2. Would probably cost €70 million to buy normally.
That makes sense then Tam. Seems a lot of money but that's the going rate these days.
Listened to quote a long post match interview with Neves yesterday. He seems genuinely happy to be at Wolves. Of course, I would not expect him to come on and say he is desperate to leave but, never-the-less, his love for the club seemed genuine, and I do think he has a lot of respect for Lopetegui.
He talked about the situation at the end of last season when it looked as if he was about to leave. His attitude seemed to be that these things happen to professional footballers, rather than that he was hoping for a move.
Obviously the two factors of a bigger salary and European football will be very important to him, but I do wonder how he would react to a really good (for Wolves that is) contract offer.
The best player we have had at the club for many years. Would love him to stay.
On hitting 250 appearances
“It’s amazing. An amazing club. Since I came here, the way they received me here, it was amazing. The club, the city, all the fans. 250 is a fantastic, amazing number – I didn’t think I would achieve this. It’s really good, mainly because five years in the Premier League, it’s a big dream for me. I’m really happy but believe me I’m happier for the win today.”
It's good to see Neves in a more attacking role and the amount of energy he has. Something I said and proposed a while back (sorry Tam). Even taking corners now, which has led to 2 goals. It would be a shame if he leaves, but he deserves European football and better wages.
Very few players would turn down a better deal, ie wages and higher class of football. Don’t see Ruben any different, but who knows.
From a club point of view, money for him now or watch him walk away next summer is a no brainier.
We have been very lucky to have had him this long, so no regrets.

Weird thing to apologise to me for, when I said I wanted him to play higher to fit with the 442 that had been successful. Still, if it makes you feel better then go for it.
I am just glad we stuck with a 4 at the back(sorry wolfie) and not a back five(sorry wolfie). Also glad we realised we had to play with a proper CF lately in Costa(sorry wolfie).

My remark about Nerves related to a comment I made a while back and Tammy boy thought I meant him playing up front. Sorry I pipped you in the KOP monthly comp. cinci.
