Big Sam the only England manager with a 100% record, show some respect…

Not just a few quid, Jonty. It's like Peter Ridsdale on black bombers.

As I understand it, staying up means the 49ers will take full control while going down means more Radrizzani. For me, this man is irredeemably toxic and has to go, so let's hope his latest batscheisse decision, to chuck three mill at Fireman Sam for four games, works out. That has got to be the paradox of the century so far.

Another stupid waste of the club's money or a stroke of pragmatic genius?

Jeez, if only we were run like Brighton or Brentford...

We're the football version of a TV soap opera. The plot, the rise and fall of the characters, the unbelievable story lines beggar belief. Sadly it's not one of those where I suddenly wake up to find it was a just a bad dream.

What happens from here is anyone's guess. If we stay up given our run in, I'll be astonished. The circus that is Leeds United is back in town. My own view is relegation to the Championship, local trips to Huddersfield, Hull and Rotherham. Back to being a big fish in a small and depressing pond.

I hear that Oxo are bringing out a Laughing Stock to commemorate our demise...........

And if Gracia was so clever, he'd still be coaching us...

Another nonsensical decision.

And who gives a flying fig now about what Orta might have to say? No doubt it'll all be somebody else's fault.

And we have to learn to let go of Bielsa. Yes, it was a wonderful time to be a Leeds fan (for the most part) but all that progress has now been squandered.

I'm not one for sitting about mooning over what might have been. The implosion we've seen over the last two seasons began under his watch. There's no use at all in going round and round in circles, constantly raking it over.

The whole thing makes me want to vomit. Back to Radrizzani - it's ultimately all down to him.

As fans, we have been treated by the Orta and the entire board as useful idiots…

Not by choice but by design of just loving our club.

Surely had to get Allardyce in when you appointed Gracia.

4 games left, 3 that you have any hope of points in. Desperate situation, probably needing to win 2 from 3 against Newcastle, Spurs and West Ham.

If he keeps you him, what a gamble. I just cannot see it.

When I hear that it appears Orta Vetoed us getting Emery after we lost at home to Fulham I could cry and then after we do remove Marsch and it is pretty clear that the Rayo Vallecano and Feyenord boss are a non starter and Big Sam was ready and willing by all accounts to come in then and again this was vetoed by Orta it just makes me think that the fates are unfortunately conspiring against us.

Although we have arrived at a scenario whereby if we survive it would be the Hollywood of all Hollywood endings and I think all of us would even forgive the appalling mismanagement amongst the euphoric relief of still being a member of the greatest league in the world the odds do seem to be depressingly slim of this becoming a reality.

I was very impressed by Big Sam's press conference and it's a pity he has only been given such a brief period to whip the majority of our under performing squad into a conducive competent unit...A dozen games like Roy Hodgson was afforded I feel confident we would be on around the 36 point mark and virtually safe.

It is what it is though and I personally would take a 3 goal defeat to City as a positive improvement and then just hope or dream other teams below us falter badly and that with Big Sam's blunt no nonsense disciplined and experienced touch we can all get to tell our grandchildren in years to come about the remarkable Leeds United escape in 2023 that is still years later regarded as the greatest EPL escape ever!

I know the thrill of all that and the promises afterwards about lessons learnt seems to have all been for nothing and just a temporary reprieve like when we beat Arsenal 3-2 in 2004....All friitted away courtesy of the clowns running the show and us the poor suffering audience enduring the agony's yet again....DeJa Vu!

I know we beat Arsenal 3-2 in 2003 my mistake.

Feedback from training records broken for use of the F word but training been fun, Robinson coming across well. As would be expected plenty of work on defence and when we don’t have the ball, looked like 433 with Forshaw joining the 2 and Willy up front, Koch wasn’t involved so don’t know if he has a niggle, Bill, Rasmus, Max and Firpo were working together, plenty going on behind the scenes manager wise at the moment the club aren’t being idle

That defence scares me a little Don!

You have to laugh.
Reported - Are you bringing in a Sports Psychologist Sam?
Sam - No we have one - looks back - Whats her name again?

I'm backing Fat Sam – and if we get no points, it still won't be any worse than where we were heading.

We're stuck with the club we support, we cant just choose a new one the way we might choose a new supermarket for weekly shop

^^^

Isn't that the truth.

I'm upbeat about Allardyce. Not sure there was
an alternative (Gracia had lost it, no other option
to bring in but Sam). I have a better feeling today
about our survival.

Saying that, if we can keep our City thrashing
under 5 I'd be happy. And then we move on.

And good news Don, about the lads responding
in training. Always thought Robinson was a
very good coach.

Whatever happans v Man City I odnt think we can judge him too much. Hes only had a couple of days training. The real test will be the 3 games following it.

Says it all when some were impressed by the utter guff he spouted in the press conference.

Embarrassing.

I disagree White... I thought he spoke with a lot of assuredness, maturity and presence that can only benefit the team at this late desperate stage.

We can only hope Big Sam has the same impact Warnock has had at Huddersfield!

posted on 5/5/23

Problem is, these dodgy, play the % managers, who are complete w@nkers, never work at Leeds.

Warnock and Evans, both terrible

Was listening to big Sam telling talksport he was as good as the best managers out there, well either he’s playing mind games, or fully deluded. Don’t get me wrong, his record for keeping small clubs up is impressive, but let’s face it we’ve gone so far backwards, we’re in complete opposite direction from Bielsa days.

He’ll need a miracle to get anything out of this squad in 4 games, had all the confidence squeezed out and doubtful we get a single a point, at least we’ll get to see 11 men behind the ball with probably zero shots on goal for remaining games.

Time to start thinking about our summer hols!

posted on 5/5/23

We're doomed. Needed minimum 2 more points but probably 4 actually.

All of this was soooooo avoidable though - annoying!
