3 of your last 4 games are at home. Top 4 is done.
Maybe a minuscule outside chance that Newcastle blow up as they have tougher fixtures but I’m expecting them to end any doubts about that tomorrow

One of those is against Chelsea, whom we literally always draw with, regardless of respective form. Fulham will be out for revenge too, Mitrovic will play like a man possessed. We ought to win that anyway but there are reasons why we might not

We will need to win tomorrow because as I have explained to our know it alls we have to assume Liverpool are not going to drop any points with their run in.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well you only need 3 wins from your last 5 games, and that’s assuming Liverpool win all their games and Newcastle match your results. So you don’t need to win tomorrow at all.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think it's more that if we were to lose, our form since February doesn't suggest we have it within us to win 3 from our last 4. They're not the mentally strongest bunch
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bats understands this perfectly well. He was opting to be a pillock as usual.

Liverpool look to be playing into some sort of form now, and they aren’t the ones under pressure, they wrote CL off not too long ago.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see them pick up maximum points.
Our away form is nothing short of f*****g dreadful. Not confident about tomorrow whatsoever! Liverpool players and manager know what it takes to win the PL, therefore getting over the line to finish 4th will be easy for them.
I think we'll bottle it but will be the better for it next season. Hope I'm wrong though.

Liverpool on a great run and United very tired with key injuries.
It was always going to tighten at some stage.

Tomorrow has a must-win feel about it. We can’t afford any mistakes really between now. Failure to make the CL now would be a huge let down.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A glance at the table shows that we can, in fact, make at least two mistakes (loses) and still get top 4.
I’ve not seen anyone saying it’s already job done, but the types that are saying I told you so about it being a difficult run in are just going over the top when you look at the fixtures and mathematics

Probably aimed at me.
I don’t think it is over the top when you have watched us play for the last month. And I am certainly not suggesting it is a difficult run in because it isn’t.
Yes we should get over the line but I have been around long enough to spot the warning signs that suggest we could screw it up.
The one thing I have been consistent with since January was that top four would be a bit of a struggle. I would love to not be right.
They have had 5 one goal wins in a row so chances are they could drop points soon and Leicester City will be well up for it and should have beat them at Anfield if not for 2 OG’s. Villa will probably need to win at Anfield to get european football and Southampton could be playing for pride.

Stop thinking they are going to drop points, it isn't going to happen. They're playing the worst two home teams in the league and a Villa side who have run out of steam. United know exactly what we have to do to finish above them, it couldn't be more straightforward in that regard
I think if we win just one of our away games we'll be fine. Hopefully Bournemouth will be safe by the time we play them which might make that one slightly easier.
Tomorrow, on paper, is our toughest game remaining imo. I don't think we'll win but a draw is not a complete disaster.
Our away form is dreadful as we got near the worst goalkeeper in the league in away games. We conceded 6.65 goals more than expected and the scary thing is De Gea is usually conceding that much more than expected. Under Rangnick he conceded like 10 goals from like 3XG away from home and everyone called Rangnick clueless as a result when his save percentage was 20th under Rangnick in away games miles worse than 19th best. Rangnick and Ten Hag virtually had no goalkeeper in goal in away games.
Basically if we had someone like Henderson level in goal from 20/21 season in away games we would have conceded around 20 goals less in away games in last 2 seasons.

I think Chelsea is just as tough just because we always struggle against them. I do think we'll win at Bournemouth. They have massively overachieved but they just aren't very good. In spite of it being away, I think that's our easiest fixture

De Gea IMO is the single biggest factor in the mental fragility of this team away from home. He spent the entire second half on Thursday just booting the ball back to the Brighton CBs.

Well our goal difference away from home is -11 when it should be only -3.6 based on XG for and against. Alisson has conceded 5.79 goals less than expected in away games while De Gea had conceded 6.65 goals more than expected which means they conceded 6 goals less than us in away games despite Liverpool having one of the worst defences away from home and Man Utd having one of the best defences away from home.

Alisson has been Liverpool's best player this season tbf. They may think their season has been poor, but they'd be about 10 points worse off if he'd performed at the level of an average keeper.
So 30 points worse off if they had De Gea 🤣
Sorry I got it wrong with Spurs keeper who has had a shocker. De Gea has conceded 3.35 goals more than expected. Also noticed he stays motionless if any side shoots either side or a ball is crossed in. Did you notice once Henderson was replaced by De Gea in away games again we started conceded 4 or more regularly? Basically replaced a keeper with like 80% save percentage in away games to one that all season averages like 50% at best.
There was a stat earlier this year that Alisson I believe saved the most big chances in the league while De Gea I believe saved the fewest lol.
We were lucky Liverpool were like 20th best for big chances faced and we were like 2nd best for big chances faced earlier this year even though we had still conceded more goals than them.😂
