Arne Slot should win the Eredivisie for Feyenoord today, you will probably see movement around him after that.

It’s not spurs. It’s levy. Utter utter shambolic incompetence with a dangerous indifference towards it.

Spurs are a joke in the football pitch.

Could be relegated next year.

Honestly, until YouTuber and Spurs fan Matt Hayes did a piece on Slot, I did not know who he was.

Winning Eredivisie is not a benchmark for PL. Specially with a infamous chairman who is known to embargo any players managers want on the basis of money, and yet spends everything on hospitality, I don't hold much for Slot of even getting to 6 next season.

It will be a typical Levy dealings, goes for Fernandes, but not Bruno but the cheaper one!

I appreciate that Slot will win the Eredivisie with an unfancied team but is that enough to go on to make him worthy of managing Spurs out of other options we could get? Didn't Schteef McClaren do this?

OP

Poch win the Prem/CL with Chelsea. What total bollox.

He couldn't barely win the French League with Messi, Mbappe and Neymar.

I have never seen a more overrated manager than Pochettino.

Stop wumming, Sandy -- it gets boring after a while

Spurs got to challenge for the title under Poch with 2 windows not even spending 1 penny! and got to a CL final.

No other manager in the PL history has done the same with Spurs, and all playing one of the most exciting footballs in Europe.

Since PL started, Poch is the most successful Spurs manager and all this while the club spent NOTHING on transfer side, and rebuilt a new stadium?

Come on, who else could have better records under these circumstances while playing the Spurs way?

Spurs getting to the CL had very little to do with Poch. Could easily have gone out in the group stages that season. Moura won the semi final not Poch.

Stop saying Pochettino did not spend any money. Levy gave him a quarter of a billion over his five years at the club.

You have to stop with the Poch love in. It's a nonsense.

Who are the other options? Going for "instant success" managers like Conte and Mourinho was an awful decision, you do not work the way that suits that. You need someone to build within the constraints of the club. Slot also wants to play football the right way, and Spurs fans used to live off playing the "Spurs way". Again, Mourinho, Conte and Nuno were never the right fit, whereas Slot is for that.

Just because you haven't heard of someone it doesn't mean they are unworthy. Your knowledge of European football isn't that great in all honesty.

Won the same as very manager at PSG whilst there also.

Contrary for contraries sake.

Also this makes little sense. Slot is not a manager who has not known the luxury of spending big, and knows better value markets very well. He is a manager who gets the right player for his team rather than chase expensive players like Conte and Mourinho and then get angry when Levy doesn't let them spend the money.

You need a manager to develop you into the best you can be, like Pochettino, not a cheque book manager who needs the best (aka expensive) players to get success.

We don't have to go for a manager again that has a long track record of winning things, I'm just thinking with someone with relatively small managerial experience that is confined to a rubbish league, there isn't a great deal to go on. I mean Van Bronckhorst won with Feyenoord 5 years ago too.

Granted, I haven't seen his team play or followed his career much, but it doesn't exactly get the juice buds flowing based on some success in a weak league. I'm not ruling him out I just want to be a bit more convinced, over the likes of say Potter or Rodgers if they are in the conversation, not that they would be my picks necessarily either.

Also I've never claimed to have good European football knowledge, I hardly watch other leagues, and I'm not ruling anyone out I haven't heard of, as I said above. That's why I want to hear what people who have followed him or seen his team play think to try to convince me.

And for someone who claims to have supported the club since about 1923, his knowledge of its history is sketchy at best.
