Understanding why Nagelsman was not pursued

Levy PR machine out in force...Like this club do due diligence...This is purely down to Nagelsmann asking for more control of transfers imo.

So Levy now controls what a national newspaper in Germany publishes🤔
Interesting that you would even think that, but if it rains or snows in May that will be Levy’s fault as well I assume.
Even he does not control things outside of THFC.

Didn't want a skateboarder managing our club anyway

Bet Levy said "You have to Ryan Mason then".

Nags "Who?"

Levy "We'll get back to you"

We'll end up with no manager, but that won't matter because there won't be any good players to manage anyway. .....

We didn’t pursue him because
1) we lack ambition
2) he’s too expensive
3) he’s not a yes man.

And not being funny but how the f*ck would a chairman who appointed Nuno, Conte & Mourinho know who is a “good fit” for this club?

NEXT.

That actually seems pretty sensible tbf. I would imagine being such a young manager he leant on his team a fair bit

Good article Genius. Although you will have trouble selling it to the schoolchilden on here. Everything is Daniel Levy's fault according to lots on here. They behave like spoilt children. Massive difference between the modern entitled fans that want everything, and us Spurs fans that applauded the Spurs players off the pitch when they were relegated.

Not everything is Daniel Levy’s fault, but deciding to sack the best manager we’ve had in the past 20 years, (for having the gall to tell Levy to show some f*cking ambition) and then subsequently hiring a series of wholly unsuitable (and in one case criminal) people certainty is.

Managed decline is Levy’s legacy.

Interesting that Sandy Clown’s ambition for the club has gone from winning the league (which he used to predicted frequently) to avoiding relegation.

But in a statement released at the perfectly normal time of 10pm on a Friday, spurs said they hadn’t spoken to him at all? So how do they know his plans for back room staff?

Or wait, are you suggesting levy lied?

But his history in these matters is so good.
He always hires the best person with the perfect fit for our club

F Ed up with levy apologists. Open your fa cking eyes and look at the utter state we are in

72 days to appoint nuno. That’s levy. Hiring a criminal. That’s levy. Firing the best manager we’ve had in a generation then hiring his idols who do not fit our club at all. That’s levy. Allowing our football team to decline into farce whilst coining it in from Beyoncé. That’s f a cking levy

Not hiring a coach because he doesn’t know what backroom staff he wants is most definitely not levy

It’s laughable.

The truth is that Nagelsmann rejected Spurs because he had doubts about spending moneya, having fully control about signings and last but not least wage. That is what BILD and also Kicker reported.

Of course it is. But for some weird reason some people want to make excuses for Daniel levy.

It’s like Johnson, trump etc. it’s become such a cult that people who follow them are blind to the actual damage they’ve caused. It’s fanatical and weird.

Believe me it's not the end of the world. Nagelsmann is more a hipster media hyped manager. I don't know who will manage Spurs next season but I think personally you dodge a bullet here.

Doesn’t really matter now, Levy will be wading through the remaining dregs to see who he can fool into coming.

What are we, 52 days now?

Just to remind you, this is the mess levy needs to sort

No DOF
No Manager
Replace Captain
Sort kanes future
Sell around ten players
Buy players to improve team
Sort women’s team manager
Sort academy future as it just got relegated

Take your time levy. I’m sure your busy with all your commercial commitments but if you could find ten minutes to have a go at the above, it would be useful
