Eddie I would hope that Spurs would uncover another Bentancur, rather than those two, who I don't overly rate. Would they be any better than say Bissouma? Both had poor seasons.

Maddison yes, JWP - no thanks.

Take dead balls away from JWP and no one talks about him, he is basically Harry Winks at that point.

Maddison is a must, although his ego needs checking a bit - my big concern with him is that he is a Billy big bollox

We’re not using some of these players properly - Bissouma definitely, Porro definitely, Perisic definitely

Sarr is another I would suggest could become a fixture in the team. Don’t forget we have Udogie to come as well this summer and he has been getting good ratings at Udinese. He is most certainly an upgrade on both Davies and Perisic👍

Bissouma and Bentancur are probably the best a non European qualifying team can hope for.

Dame can't be said for our dross CBs

I would hope that we revert to a 3 man midfield next season. Currently we have:

PEH
Bentancur
Skipp
Sarr
Bissouma
Winks to return from loan

Thats already plenty in terms of numbers to cover this position but I would say the balance is all wrong. 1 ball player who is injured.

We defo need an AM in there and Maddison fits IMO. He would be costly.

But i also think Tielemans would be a decent, free option. Someone as backup to Bentancur, who has an eye for a pass.

May be send Sarr on loan but to a decent team in the Championship or a PL team. That said, i think one thing we lack in CM is proper energy and mobility. I think Sarr can provide this.

If we perhaps accept that next season is a season to build then Sarr can learn the game on the pitch with us.

I really do not want to see PEH as a first choice next year. He's limited and a handbrake to any progressive system. While we have issues playing the ball from the backline, we also have issues playing through midfield without Bentancur and PEH is a massive part of that, Skipp aint much better.

Watching BHA pass through the lines to the player in the hole, from the back or from CM yesterday, was a real eye opener to me how we just totally lack the ability to get the ball forward in this way - lacking the player ability in these key roles and a formation that puts a player in that advanced position with support around them.

In CB, if we revert to 2 CBs, then i would take Lenglet as a back up and spend big on a quality CB who can offer pace, to play alongside Romero, but the latter really needs to sharpen up. I felt that in our current situation he's the sort of player that gets a bit loose and lacking focus and it seems to be the case.

Priorities in order of importance:
- Dof.
- Levy to agree never to get remotely involved in anything football. Just deal with the balance sheet.
- New Manager. In place NOW is so important, not the week before next season.
- Keep Kane. Yeah some may say this should be first on the list, but get those sorted and Kane likely to stay.
- Completely remodel the back 5 with Dier, Davis, Sanchez & Langlet all to be sold off.
- Teach Romero to stop being an idiot and learn when to tackle and when to back off. Can't be that hard to do.
- Get Bentancur match fit asap.
- Coach improvement in Bissouma
- Replace the rest of the MF. None good enough. Focus on leadership mentalities and someone with some passing skills (probably Maddison who won't want to play in the Championship )
- Try to get our money back on Ricky and get a decent striker who actually scores goals regularly. Kane is not a workhorse, is getting older and simply can't play every game.

That's just our starter "to do" list.

Largely agree with the premise, but think you're harsh on Skipp. Frequently looks much better than Hojbjerg. He shouldn't be starting every week, and at a properly coached team he'd have his progression better managed, but he has room for development and is worth keeping.

Emerson, Porro, Udogie, Sarr, Skipp, Bissouma, Bentancur, Kulusevski is the base the squad should be built around. I'm aware that's not even a full starting XI, but assuming Kane leaves and Son is past it, it really shows how much of a rebuild is needed

I suspect our starting team next season will look something like this

**********************New GK***********************
***Royal*****Romero***New CB****Udogie******
*********Porro*****Bentancur***Bissouma******
************Kulu************Son******
********************Richie***********************

Looks like a Europa League quality team to me at Best.

Cant see us making more than 2 or 3 signings and the money used will come from Kane's sale

Having recently signed Bents, Kulu, Romero, Royal Porro, Udogie & Richie I suspect they will all be starters

Hard to get exited about.

Can't see there being much of market for the likes of Sanchez, Dier, Davies, Winks, GLC, Sess, Perisic, GLC, NDombele, Sklipp, PEH, Reggie etc so I expect most to stay or get farmed out on loan again.

I think the likelihood of a massive overhaul is very slim

I don't see us having European football next year so there might be an opportunity for some youngsters to come through but that cupboard seems pretty thin too

Joke club

Dunno if its true but I heard Kane is building a massive new house in Cobham (Close to Chelsea's Training ground). I have this horrible feeling Poch is gonna want him, Bohely will put up 100mln and Kane will push for the move...... I think this one is gonna hurt more than any big name leaving Spurs because you can't be angry at kane. The only person to be angry with is Levy and he doesn't give a shlt

I must admit Genius never seen Udogie play, but apparently he is half decent. Could solve a major problem.

Devonshire, cannot move forward with either Winks or Skipp anywhere near the first XI, and Sarr is still a rookie. Definitely need at least one, possibly two new midfielders.

Chelsea cannot afford to spend £100 million without smashing through FFP rules, and if Kane did go there, he would be vilified as bad as Judas. I am sure he is well aware of that.

Never going to happen.

Not sure that's True..... If you look at the amount players, they are planning to sell and the way they are structuring Contracts over long periods they might well be able to afford Kane. They have spent close to half a Bil in the last 2 windows without breaching FFP.

If Kane went to Chelsea to work for Poch, i wouldn't regard him as a judas.... I'd totally understand.

He's been saying for years he wants to win trophies and the only thing that's stopped him has been Levy and an iron clad contract.

At no point has Kane ever said he wants to spend his whole career at Spurs/ Or said he's going to sign a new deal.... There's a massive difference between him and Sol.

At this point I don't know what Levy has to offer Kane other than loads of money.... No Manager, No DOF, Probably no European football, a crap squad, a loser mentality and only real ambition to make top 4..... It's not exactly appealing.

If someone's dares mention the stadium, or training ground.... I'll lose my mind !

If Kane won't sign a new contract (which I don't blame him for) then he must be sold this summer.

That way we have some control over where he goes and get lots of dosh. The alternative is he walks away for nothing and joins Utd or Chelsea at the end of next season. Surely this is a no brainer?

I would keep Son on the basis that he is still lightning quick and I can't see him having such a poor season again. If he is unable to redeem himself at least we still get to sell loads of merchandise in Asia.

posted on 15/5/23

Kane must realize that Levy is full of shlt & cannot be trusted

Had he got his move to City he would now have 2 Pre Leagues & LC and probably an FA Cup and a Champs league winners medal

Instead he's playing for a team managed by Ryan Mason, likely to finish 8th or 9th, Probably no European football next year and all Levy talks about is building him a statue now he's got Greaves record.

I'd be off like a shot to United, Newcastle or Chelsea if I were Kane. Levy's out of smoke & mirrors moves..... Hiring serial winner coaches doesn't work with a mid table squad..... Its about investing in the team & Levy simply won't do it properly.

Chelsea are done, even with Poch - they will have loads of trouble shifting those players they bought.

There was a story - a month or so ago stating that they have a deadline at the end of June to move a certain amount of players or they are in the schitt with FFP.

I think it will take them a long time to sort this chaos out - hopefully Boehly keeps faaacking up in the meantime

Hope you're right.....But I wont be betting the house on him not going there.

What's the point of keeping Kane for one more season ? ......to acheive what ????.... Top 4 ? who cares.... we've been down this road.. its all a waste of time..... City, Arsenal, United, Liverpool, Brighton & Newcastle are better than Spurs and Chelsea & Villa will likely do more improve more than us next season.

I don't want him to go but him not demanding a move and Spurs not being open to offers would be one of the dumbest business decisions in the history of the game.

Why go to Chelsea - to play for a manager that never won anything with him before, to a club that is likely to finish bottom half this season, has a chairman that takes advice from James Corden about who the manager should be, a chairman that keeps going into the changing rooms.

Chelsea are a shambles - Poch will have them 6/7th at best next season and they will probably sack him for whoever the next fancy name is.

Boehly’s the best thing to happen to Spurs in years - clueless beyond belief

Maybe ?.... But U choose ?.... Play for Spurs under Mason/ Or some Tier 2 manager Under Levy's ownership or Chelsea under Poch & Bohely..... If you wanna stay in London and win a trophy..... I fear Chelsea would win one before Spurs no matter how much of a mess they are right now
