But having won something previously with another club has translated into winning fk all with us in 2 different instances, so why pursue this?

I think it depends if Munn wants one or if Levy wants to stick with the same sort of structure we had with Titty.

If Levy was serious about stepping away from the football side it would make sense to have a DoF but then I am not sure if that roles comes under Munn's remit?

The simple answer is no I don’t.

My guess, based on his CV is to build a successful structure for the footballing side of the club I.e. what the model looks like. Whereas, the DOF will be building what the side looks like in terms of player recruitment type specifics.

Hopefully Levy and Munn know

I'm surprised you lot have the energy to care anymore. This club is in the gutter. I'm now firmly of the belief that there's so much wrong with the club, there is no managerial appointment that can fix things. Recruitment at staff and player level is so, so poor that does it really make much of a difference who comes in as manager, particularly if you assume a DoF would be controlling the transfer side of things.

It's impossible to know when hiring a manager whether the success they've had is down to just having good players or whether those managers have crafted and moulded them to be so. If you look at the players Di Zerbi has been given at Brighton, he's in absolute dreamland. Pound for pound, that first team, particularly in midfield, is better than ours. It's a bit like the quandary when Poch was in charge of us. Did he inherit a top team or did he mould it? Is Slot's success in Holland down to good recruitment fortune or great management. Can they still perform when they're dealing with a recruitment structure as poor as ours? I honestly don't think they will. The ones, like Nagelsmann, who require a good structure and plan before doing their job, were always doomed to fail because they're not lone wolves. There aren't many managers that want autonomy anymore but those that do tend to do quite well with us because then the decisions are taken away from the clowns at the top. That's why Poch was so good. He was able to do his job without being affected by the mess upstairs.

I've now joined Billy on the Levy Out campaign, not because I don't think he spends, as others have suggested, but because of his lack of football nouse and a total inability to refine structure and develop a philosophy. He's not a football man. Simple as that.

My advice would be to stop hoping. It's the hope that kills. My anger now has shifted to apathy. I just don't really care anymore. I don't feel anything when we score and I don't feel anything when we concede.

That's all on Levy. Until he goes, there is no real hope.

If he plays decent football then it's one thing he has that separates him from Conte or Jose. Besides, Poch and Nagelsmann are both title winners now.

We just need someone that ticks enough boxes. If they have winning experience I guess it helps but in Jose's and Conte's case they are managers who require a lot of spending and Jose is a past it manager anyway.

Levy would love an apathetic fanbase, with a stadium full of consumers happy to spend in the bars, restaurants and shops, while sat there quietly and happy just to have a ticket for a day out.

A fanbase that spends but fails to question the product on the pitch is Levy & Lewis' nirvana.

Talksport saying Levy likes Thomas Frank now. Another name to add to the growing list.

Slot is more of a risk than other candidates, he doesn't know the PL and has only ever managed in a Mickey Mouse league. Sure he has just won the title with Feyenoord but was that due to Ajax and PSV being in transition.

Levy also likes managers with some kind of previous PL experience, the last manager he hired with no PL experience was Juande Ramos, and the two before that with no PL experience were Santini & Gross, so you can see why Slot is giving me bad vibes.
