Christ, this sort of luck never usually breaks our way - funny time for the FA to announce it
Surprised it wasn't at the start of next season after he's joined a new club

It is a bit overkill but there just make an example of him. Brentford if they appeal to will likely get it halfed.

Hmmm dont know about that considering he had over 200 charges against him
Will be appealed and probably halved
Ridiculous that he gets an eight month ban, and nearly three months of that are when there is no football. He should have got the rest of this season, then eight months starting from the beginning of next season.

Good point, anyone getting a straight red on the last day will have his suspension carried over to the start of the next season.

So in fact it’s a 5 month ban
8 months having a few bets
Ridiculous, we had filth like Suarez biting chunks out of opponents and racially abusing them, he got nowhere near that kind of length ban.
Look at the way Klopp behaves on the touchline, abusing 4th officials and the referee`s, disrespecting opposition coaches and pointing fingers when he has no cause to. The way he acts is despicable and sets an awful example. You won`t see Klopp receive a ban anywhere near as long, even though he deserves it.
I suppose it depends which club you are employed by.
Yes, in effect it is. There would have been a few bids I suspect going in for him before this came to light.

He should've been suspended pending the outcome too imo.
You just know Levy will sign him up in the summer as Kane's replacement for a knock down fee!!
I actually don't want us to win anymore games so we can avoid the Europa conference because we won't take it seriously so what is the point.
Let the new manager just focus on the league.

Eddie, plus he will probably appeal, and get it reduced by a couple of months.
He shouldn't get any kind of ban until the hypocrisy displayed by those making the decisions is held to account.
He's played in the SkyBet Championship and League One, has been sponsored by another betting company at Newcastle, yet we're supposed to chastise him for falling for the advertising supported, in no small part, to the people that have ultimately banned him. You couldn't make it up.
If they're going to be so strict when applying gambling laws, they need to pull the ladder up on betting companies having such widespread involvement in football. I mean, what did they expect? Morons.
Be nice when the authorities clamp down on Man City and their cheating. Toney is an easy target for them. They need to make a serious statement on City, and come down even harder for much more serious breaches of the rules.

You know it's possible that you can be apathetic about Spurs but still ultimately want the best for them. Those of us that have lost our heart a little, have done so because it feckin hurts, not because we're somehow lesser fans. You seem to think turning up to WHL and supporting regardless of where were are as a club makes you a better fan than the rest of us. It doesn't. It just makes you one of the ever-paying, never-questioning robots that Levy loves. Keep the money coming in and never question the regime. Perfect. That's how you keep the status quo.
