Where would Pep's treble rank...

It really was a phenomenal achievement from Ramos when you think about it.

Pep would go the same way of Mourinho, Conte, etc if he managed Spurs under the misery of Levy & ENIC.

It's only really dawned on me how incredible the job Ramos did was in winning that trophy. I don't think he gets the credit he really deserves for it. Levy probably needs to build a statue of him alongside Kane, representing the two highlights in Levy's on field legacy.

I wonder if they will name one the corners on the race track after Levy, his true legacy

The way I look at it is is: could I, someone with no football manager experience, do that?

The answer is a respunding yes. Southampton winning a PL match is a bigger achievement.

City are just financially doped, and anything they win is tainted because of their financial irregularities. I loathe the club, and everything they stand for.

Is it a resounding yes though?

It’s an achievement, just not one I really care about.

Pep can’t be considered a true great until he’s done it under Levy. Maybe that’s why we are on our 53rd day of a manager search, waiting for the season to end.

Welcome to spurs Pep. Levy is gonna snap you like a twig.

Most half decent managers could do what city have done with the amount of money they can spend , Eddie Howe will do it with Newcastle eventually also.

Would be a laugh if we could have a manager draft in the premier league, if Luton come up Pep gets drafted .

100 per cent right Eddie. Amazing how the two financially doped sides of the 21st century have hoovered up so many trophies, when they were both next to useless before their Lottery wins. Yes I know Chelsea won a couple of trophies before the Russian crook turned up, but that was off the back of borrowed money that they could not pay back, and they would have gone down the pan, but for their Russian bailout.

But, but, but it`s nothing to do with money.

You would have to be the biggest dummy in the world to think that City have not got where they are without their massive financial advantage killing off all opposition.

Great Post sandy. I would say its amazing that Chelsea fans forget that their FA Cup and Cup winners Cup wins pre-Roman were bought with borrowed money that almost bankrupted the club, but it isn't, because most of them only started supporting Chelsea in 2005.

It'd plop all over number 4. Wasn't united points tally low that season, especially compared to today. Peps raised the bar much higher in the PL. As arsenal have found out, you gotta break 90 points to want to beat peps lot, even when they aren't having he best season in the Pl by their standards.
Obv if city win it by a couple of corners in injury time I'll review things but that treble by united is massively over rated when you analyse the actual performances.

Pep would never go to Spurs, simply because of Levy. Pep works as an integral part of the club, He says the type of player that he wants and the club goes to get them. It isn't all about money, City got Akanji AND Alvarez for a combined £30m, something that Spurs just wouldn't be able to do. Levy would want to haggle over £250k or something ridiculous and lose both and so they end up being financially dopey in their signings and never quite getting what they need. Pep would never tolerate that. Nor should he, he is the best in the world so he wants to work with the best. At City he has owners that invest in the club, the football facilities, the local area regeneration etc, but not race tracks or Gridiron pitches.

Sadly for Spurs, they get the end result that Lewis and Levy deserve.

The 1st half football last night was some of the best that I have ever seen from a English club in my 60+ years of watching , the other stuff that I have no control over ,I tend to ignore, not saying it doesn't worry me but it's unfortunately inevitable

Spot on.

Let's not forget Levt was haggling over Grealish for £15m LMFAO.

Peps team play unbelievable computer game like football. Wow.

If and it's still an If.

They win the treble doing it with more points, more goals, less conceded, more style than United did then it's the best achievement.

That FA cup final is more than a final now. Can this United team save the clubs claim to the greatest season. Can City win those two finals and dethrone United and for the first time really be able to claim Manchester as blue.

It would be less of a surprise than the Leicester title, which should win by a country mile, but whether you loathe them for their financial irregularities or not, the team and style of play Pep has assembled is up there with the very best we've ever seen, speaking first as a football fan before Spurs. The nearest I've seen to the complete, total football side was Barcelona 2009-11, coincidentally (or not) also managed by Pep. That man is a football genius. As fans of the game, we should be grateful he's come over here. The blueprint he'll leave behind will totally shift the tactical mindset of the country. We need coaches like him to lead the way. We lost England's golden generation to a rigid, old-fashioned 4-4-2 system and got torn apart in every tournament because we didn't have the tactical nouse to think differently.

What we're witnessing with Pep is an art form, like ballet with a ball. Those that criticise him as never having proved it at an average club clearly have no real understanding of the game. Sure, he needs good players, top players, to play HIS way but don't be under any illusions - this isn't a guy on easy street letting the players do it all. These are world stars playing as a cohesive unit with patterns of play and revolutionary tactical plans.

He'll go down as the greatest manager of all time. Absolutely no doubt about that whatsoever.
