I looked on sofascore but double checked them on the premier league website. I believe those stats come from opta so, whilst the methodology is imperfect, they at least seem to track well over multiple sights as opta are the official statisticians of the prem. Xg is a bit more difficult because different sites use different models, so I’ve seen inconsistencies.

For example, sofascore has KDB as having an xA of 13.94 but understat has it at 16.27. So I’m always unsure which are the most accurate.

Never used Sofascore. Will check it out. My first port of call is usually FBref, followed by WhoScored.

I bet Haaland won’t win young player of the year which makes zero sense.

Probably not as it wouldn't make sense to give both to him, but the rules for the young player are a bit silly. Odegaard & Mac Allister could win it, and they're both 24.

Would make more sense to give Haaland the young player and someone else the main one

Well not if Haaland is actually the best player in the league.

There should be rule preventing players from being nominated for both but if not surely the POTS must win YPOTS also if nominated for both.

In 06/07 Ronaldo won both, had an even better 07/08, was again nominated for both and only won POTS. Makes no sense.

Yeah the ypoty is a bit of a joke.

Almost feels like YPOTY should have some extra restrictions on it - imo it should be for the best prospects that are just breaking through, like a Garnacho type, rather than someone super established like Saka.
