For me he'll be remembered most as the guy who made Alex Ferguson make the most laughable statement in the history of sport.

"He could go on to be Manchester United's greatest ever player"

I've got a feeling Bobby Charlton might have had something to do with that as I'm sure I once heard him compare Jones to Duncan Edwards, or at least his presence and running style. A lot can change when you're 19 I guess. Who knows, had Edwards survived, he might have finished his career as the next Phil Jones. What a thought that is.
