Didn’t really get the love for the first one. Was ok. Animation was great though.

Same here. Maybe cause it's Spiderman and people seem to love Spiderman, hence the number of times they keep redoing it.

You are good at this Robb, and know what you are talking about.
The only quibble I have, is that it is always American.
I take the view that the UK is superior to the USA in most cultural forms. Be it writing,
theatre, TV, and films.
Any chance of doing a few more UK films generally?

If I see a good one I’ll mention it. Been a while since I saw a good one tbh.

How about. Living.
It has to be good, it stars Bill Nighy.

Or. Boiling Point for more drama

Actually tbf Empire of Light and Aftersun were both very good. You’d probably enjoy Empire of Light quite a bit.

The first one was incredible, one of my favourite ever films, and I'm not a spiderman fan. I don't tend to get Marvel films full stop but spiderverse blew my mind. Can't wait to see this one.

In terms of style and technical skill it doesn’t compare to the best Anime. Akira is a work of art.

Was more impressed with the animation than the storyline in the original spiderverse

Bad thing is you have to wait until next year for the 2nd part

Rob

It really doesn’t, the hand drawn technical level of Akira is completely different to the digitally made Spiderverse. Nothing about them are comparable.
