Light, there are far better coaches out there, three clubs have assessed that he doesn't have what it takes, that should be enough to take him out of the running.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep maybe (hope so) … but would take Parker every day over Corberan.
He is out of work for a reason. I put him in the same category as Lampard, Gerrard, Solskar, Ince, going the ex-player route isn't necessarily the answer. Seldom works out.

Not an option anyway is it, he's just extended at WBA.
I doubt he'd be considered but I always thought Ralph Hassenhutl would be a good fit for the Leeds job.
He engages well with the fans and plays an attractive style of football which I sense a lot of us on here want the next Leeds boss to be one who makes the team fun and entertaining to watch.
Rodgers
Then probably Corberan and Viera. Not too keen on the others but will get behind them either way.

Well according to Phil Hay there is a high likelihood we will all have to get behind Stevie G with Gary Mac as his assistant.

Also it seems we have a pre season friendly with Rangers planned so that might just be a clue.
If it's Gerrard and a decent assistant (and I think
Gary Mac is a good assistant), it could be worse.
I guess.
Gerrard was good as long as he had Beale.
When Beale left he was basically, crap.
I will say (and have before) that the 49ers
run their franchise in a more progressive
way than most NFL teams. I doubt they
approach LUFC any differently.
Yeah Batts Beale seemed to make a big difference to Gerrard's success at Rangers and time at Villa and when he left Villa seem to go on a very bad run.
It's looking likely though and maybe the Championship will be a slightly easier league for him, I know it's still effing tough, but with Gary Mac alongside him and with Stevie G's useful footballing contacts we should at least be able to attract a higher quality of player than some other managers that might have got the job.
We'll see and like Oakwood says, we just have to get behind whoever it is.

I think you're right Batty. They may not know much about 'soccer' but they'll take advice from someone who does. Unlike Radz, who knew nothing about football and appointed a DoF who also knew nothing about football. It was doomed from the start.

There’s no sensible comparison between Scott Parker and Carlos Corberan. Corberan has won absolutely nothing whereas Parker has won trophies as a player, got 18 caps for his country and won two promotions as a manager.
We could do a lot worse than Parker.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Been sacked at Fulham, Bournemouth and Bruges, how many more opportunities does he need to prove he just hasn't got what it takes.
Being an international footballer doesn't automatically mean you will be a good coach.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, leave out the two promotions in your critique eh?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
you want a manager for a season or for the future?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Corberan has burned through more jobs than Parker has...
Asked this on a previous post but nobody could answer, did Karl Robinson leave with Allerdyce and Keane.
I just dont like Parker. He comes across as a bit of a tool to be honest. I'd rather have Gerrard than Parker. At least with Gerrard youd think hed be able to attract top players. Who wouldn't want to play for Gerrard?
Im not sold on Gerrard but will get behind him 100%
Very disappointed with the names linked so far and the direction we appear to be going in.
We should be going out and punching above our weight. Spending big on a manager too good for this league and promising them the world.
There’s so much to gain for a manager that’s highly regarded but not at the level of a one of the top jobs.
Parker has a good record with big budgets in the league. I don’t think he has made a side better than the sun of its parts though. And boy has he been limited upon promotion. His football is also way too slow for Elland Rd.
Rodgers is the level we should be looking at tbf. Or someone like Iraola whose stock is high but I can’t see a Champions League club taking the gamble.
There will be many managers out there that I’ve never heard of that will be riskier but more ambitious than the ones we’ve been linked to.
You do not get out of this league playing it safe. Even with our potential budget.
Just an observation about Parker is he always seems to wear striking jumpers/jackets that I personally find distracting.
One of the reasons I couldn't 100% warm to Marsch was his match day attire which resembled someone attending a family barbecue... give me a tracksuit coach any day.
We're in the second division. Those expecting a big name or a top coach to come in need a bit of a headwobble. Gerrard, Rogers, Parker is as good as a team in the same league as Plymouth will get.

One word Bielsa.
I've always thought Rafa Benitez fit us profile-wise.
Especially in the Championship, aiming to blast our
way back up. He's done it. He's a big club manager.
If I heard the 49ers had earmarked him, I'd be happy.
Regardless, anyone with a pulse would be good right
now if it included the news that Radrizanni was gone.
Look at how much several managers transformed sides last season.
Right manager is way more important than the transfer window.

Year he mocked my spelling of Brendan Rodgers which fair enough I did in a hurry spell wrong but I would have eventually corrected it without any prompting but he obviously took pleasure in trying to take the michael.
However yesterday when I was reading a Spurs thread low and behold Mr Silver has commented on it and has made a spelling error himself and spelt Haaland incorrectly so I made a point of reminding him how easy it is to make spelling mistakes which most people ignore and don't make an issue of it and try to be a pedantic so and so.
Hopefully Mr Silver the spelling policeman won't be so quick to take the mick!
We all make spelling boo-boos on here - tbh there are bigger things to worry about.
