There are lots of 'United fans' too, who seem to be compelled to congratulate City for their Treble this season. Strange as that might seem and even more so when they also suspect that they have been cheating all this time.

Football supporting for some is a complicated business.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
United are has beens whose success is in a forgotten era. Their city rivals and greatest rivals have been successful since. Each fan will handle this bitter reality differently.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You realise we’ve finished above you in two of the last three seasons yeah, in your supposedly “dominant” era? You’ve won one league title in 23 years. Pipe down.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Who said anything about "our dominant era".

Face it and stop deluding yourself. You've won one league cup in 8 years. City and Liverpool have each won every single trophy available at least once during that period. You haven't won a league or European cup in 11 years and that's definitely not gonna change anytime soon. Your best chance of a trophy next season is the league cup again. That's your level now.

The best you can do in reply is to mention a few times Utd finished above Liverpool. Thats all you got? What does that tell you? Here you go.The finished above Liverpool trophy
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You've won 1 league title in 33 years. Hardly the record of a big club is it?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
We've won one league and one Champions league in 4 years.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Which is exactly the same as one league in 33 years. Congratulations.

We've won 13 in that time frame. 😁
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Talking about titles won when football jerseys looked like parachutes.

Historychester United.

Even if they did break ffp the most they can get is a fine.

Lot of hoohah about nothing
----------------------------------------------------------------------

So cheating will be worth it ultimately? What a fantastic message that sends out eh?

I think they will get a more severe punishment than just a fine tbh. Theres no way they can explain all those charges because if they could do they already would have and this wouldn't be a thing anymore.

A fine and a massive points deduction I reckon is what will happen. However they really should have every trophy between 2009 and 2011 taken away. That would be fairest punishment.

Its their money they should be entitled to spend it how they like. Thats the basicz of a free capitalist society.

That's a half truth.

The UEFA Financial Fair Play Regulations (FFP) are a set of regulations established to prevent professional football clubs spending more than they earn in the pursuit of success, and in doing so not getting into financial problems which might threaten their long-term survival.

posted on 11/6/23

The general principle of FFP is to safeguard the future financial security of football.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well no actually that BS. The rules were there for everyone. If all the other clubs were following them and they didn't.....they gained a massive unfair advantage.

Not agreeing with the rules in place is fine. Not following them is another thing all together though.

City got caught with their pants down by that hacker. Best thing that ever happened because they know they are guilty as sin. They can't explain any of it because if they could they already would have done.

We've never had that. We've been ran as a business since day dot of the PL.

There's one club in the PL where money is not important. That's why they win everything. Their owner has been two two games in 13 years. He didn't even attend their first ever CL final against Chelsea. That's how much he's interested.

"Winning the treble" FIRST.

or, to put it another way, the FIRST club to win the treble.

Because, you know, being FIRST is to be FIRST.

Not a lot (if anything) can be done about that.

And you might need to research "existential crisis" before using terms you clearly don't grasp.

Here's a basic start

If flawless TV can go to prison for many years for streaming football games and earning a proxy 7 million pounds or whatever it was and

If Ivan Toney is banned for almost a year for having a gambling problem

Surely City's punishment has to be more severe than the above two cases, you'd like to think.

Not really. Regardless of how the money is obtained, there would have likely been depressingly little competition for United without foreign investment. The rules that everyone adhere to benefit the club who were most financially set up at the time that the rules were established.
