I guessed that? Arteta wants to buy him, or why are we negotiating?
You’ve guessed that Arteta thinks he can hold up the ball better than Jesus because he wants to buy him.

Obviously, Arteta thinks he can. And that's the only opinion that matters. Certainly not fans whose objectivity only goes as far as what the latest talking head says in the media. We'll see.
And I still don't understand what nonsense you are spouting about goalposts. Arsenal aren't buying Havertz to replace Jesus or Odegaard. I am perfectly happy to take a punt on a player once considered one of the top prospects in Europe. If he doesn't come off, he is young enough to move on with a minimal loss. No risk signing.

You will lose a lot of money because he will have flopped twice, big teams won't give him a third chance.
Bayern are interested in him too. Hopefully he goes there instead

Can't see any other reason why we would buy a 6ft 2inch forward but fair enough.

Possible. So I suppose a lot will depend on the structure of the deal proposed. How much will be fee and how much in bonus payments.
Kai Havertz has underperformed his xG total every season at Chelsea:
⚽️ 7 Goals (12.78 xG)
⚽️ 8 Goals (10.67 xG)
⚽️ 4 Goals (6.35 xG)
He should have scored over 10 more goals than he has.
Perplexed by this. Arsenal need a good finisher in the squad so why Havertz??
It seems that Havertz is being bought to play in AMF alongside Odegaard.
It seems that is plan looking at the amounts being quoted. I doubt Arteta will spend £50m+ on a backup. If that had been £30m-£40m I could see more of a backup role that I initially thought it would be.
Havertz has 19 goals in 91 games
He wont even get 3 goals for Arsenal
Rather bid for Mitrovic
