Championship and first season or so in the Premier League. He was better then than he was now that is for sure.

100%. Not good enough this season though

Remains to be seen if that will translate to this league, though. Especially if you cannot get the side to be as dominant as he managed in the Netherlands, which seems likely given our recruitment and the competition here.

------------------------------------------

That's a fair point but I'd still try and sort out the issues we have behind the forward line first to improve our chances of becoming a more dominant side.

Bring in somebody who worst case scenario could rotate with Rashford, improve the other positions and if Kane is still at Spurs next season, try and convince him to sign next summer.

I wouldn’t be opposed to it. Whatever we do we need to start creating more chances, even if we remain profligate in front of goal.

We’re still slow in the market as usual. Kim is closer to joining Bayern.

We seem to create a decent amount of chances, not enough but I think the bigger issues are a lack of control in midfield and a lack of goal scorers.

If Rashford didn’t have his best 5 months to date I wonder where we’d have finished?

Do we, the only one who seems to create anything is Bruno. Our wide play in terms of creating/assisting is completely pathetic both from our wingers and fullbacks.

In light of DDG's obvious limitations, I'm open to letting him go. If we let him go and sell Henderson, we could have nearly £500k a week in wages plus around £20m to play with in rebuilding our GK situation.

I see we have kept Heaton on, and will probably be our number 3. I'm not sure if Matej Kovar is ready to be our number 2. He had a good season at Sparta Prague by all accounts and won the Czech title. Apparently DDG rates him highly.

That's just a standard pally (staying on his) line from De Gea about Kovar I reckon.

We don't often get our wide players and full-backs into the type of positions to create clear-cut close range chances. Apart from fast breaks we don't often get them into good positions behind defences where they can provide cut-backs and low crosses into that central area of the box where players can score from 12 yards or less.

Isn’t that largely due to the fact we have no RB who can cross or are particularly creative and our wingers prefer to shoot than create probably because they play as inverted wingers, and even then it’s only Rashford who’s scoring. The only winger who ever looks like creating anything is Garnacho. I’m sure a better striker who can stay fit and link up well with those around him will help but we definitely need far more offensively from our wide players.

De gea is the only reason your not playing in the championship

While the RB is a problem (a lot to do with our defenders a lot more worried about defending with DDG) our attacking wide men never seem to have good choices to actually pass to. No runs that pull CBs back, or enough attacking runs from the midfield or even wide players cutting into the box to strike, it seems like there's either coaching lax or incapable players. Maybe both.

We really need a Harry Kane like player, Harry Kane maybe?

We need an upgrade on right wing. Antony is more of a problem than a solution. That high left legged cross to the far post EVERY SINGLE TIME EVERYONE KNOWS is not going to become a brilliant idea next year. Maybe if Greenwood gets back to playing.

A keeper with some range in his passing. Watching the Brighton City game, just the keepers passing highlights...

We need to change our midfield partnership to make more late runs into the box. I don't think it's something in Eriksen capacity. If we do not sell McFred, I prefer they come back. They always seem to score more these days and assist more too. And they definitely run more.

We really needs 250 million, we have 120 million budget. We need a oodles of money for 2 years to get us to actually challenge. Or the geniuses at Brighton scouts who produce world-class players for 3 million

No he hasn’t. He thinks Henderson is a top keeper. That throws it out right there.

He should have gone years ago. Never rated him, just excepted the fact that over the years there have been more important positions on the pitch to be focusing on than his. But now, time has finally come, where his position has now become important and change need to made.

No, he hasn’t. He was complaining about De Gea when he was still one of the top goalkeepers in the world, never mind the league.

The Boy Who Cried Wolf wasn’t “right forever” just because a wolf did, eventually, turn up.

He was wrong up until that point. And a t1t.

Lmao, I'm at hafi levels concerning Antony. I think Sancho is a better attacking player than he is, and Sancho's been sheite since he came.

He is limited and for his price is a complete waste. It also says a lot about Ten Hags idea of the right players for attacking (magnified by his constant play of Weghorst)

If Hafi wasn’t right then surely IAmMe was, he’s pretty good at knowing which players are good and bad. On top of that he makes great music and art.
