Maybe the knocking is coming from the inside of the Titanic and this is the start to a horror film.

Honestly wouldn’t have went on that with your money lads.

Must be an ego thing to be paying that kinda money for that risk/reward.

Horrific way to go as well, compression failure aside.

They bought the cheapest tickets available to see the Titanic, like Easy Jet, should’ve gone with James Cameron in his £40m sub really. £250k barely gets you to London by train on a yearly season ticket.

If they are still alive I can't even imagine the conversations they're having with the CEO.

Mist be tempting to off him yourself.

Underwater currents dragged the sub into the wreck, the Victor 6000 will soon find them. That’s the plan.

Always amazed at the pride the Belfast folk hold for titanic. The museum isn’t like our art gallery or transport museum. It’s an all day job in a relatively tiny city.

They’re very proud of it. Despite it not reaching its destination on its maiden voyage from Southampton was it?

Anyway, they’ll tell you repeatedly, “it was fine when it left here”

I suppose it was a feat of engineering at the time, tiny in comparison to current luxury cruise ships.

Fair enough, its not just bowel movements that people take pride in.

The press conference largely focused on the 'banging' noises:
- The first noises were heard by a Canadian P-3 aircraft yesterday
- The Coast Guard sent teams to search the area where the noises were detected
- More noises were heard TODAY

posted on 21/6/23

Underwater noises detected in the area raise the prospects that the passengers may still be alive, but time is running out to rescue them obvs

No locator beacon, no planned method of rescue, no ability to open the hatch from the inside - the whole thing appears to be a shambles...

So, basically $250K for a Ryanair seat.

US Coast Guard currently have five surface vessels searching, they expect there to be 10 in the next 24 hours. Additional ROVs joining the search.

When you listen to it, you have to wonder how they're allowed to operate, given how vulnerable they are. You'd think that a surface support ship, with a spare/rescue vessel, would be a bare minimum.

There’s no national standard for this. Clearly having a back up operation is far better and advisable but that adds significant to cost which might make the whole enterprise unviable.

It appears to have been caveated with release of liability acceptance through a number of signed documents which warn of potential loss of life.
