You alright?
No gap when Beale came in
Pumped Rangers out of both cups, draw away at Ibrox and then the crucial league win at Celtic Park to seal the title. Won all 3 trophies under Beale's watch but aye no gap
Nonsense coming out of Beale about inherited gaps, and inherited squad (most of it had been there when e was a coach), lucky Ange, impose our style blah blah blah absolute car salesman and the bears bereft of success for the past 20 years are hanging on to Beale the way they did Warburton "elite manager, next England manager"

Ah ffs....I thought Barkas was doing well on loan in Holland (????) and there was a deal to be done. Guchi has to go down as an Ange signing that hasn't worked. Some amount of deadwood to be shifted.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A positive for us if you end up having to keep them in squad, can imagine Rodgers has a good budget and if he signs a good number of players then will be more players to shift too. Don’t think your squad just now is the biggest but.
I’d imagine Mooy or Turnbull could be shifted for the new cm. And you’d probably happily shift majority of backup defenders bar Ralston.
Ange seemed to rotate well (obv didn’t see all games) and players almost always looked fresh, can’t remember if Rodgers managed that, or if he could do it as well with a bigger squad.
I think Celtic are taking an approach of spend big to try and be decent in Europe and in doing so that will have a knock on effect of being too strong for the rest domestically, new manager so it’s in some ways a shake up, treble winning squad in situ so in other ways not. I would say our changes close season are a fraction of the massive changes at Rangers in that regard.

I imagine most Rangers fans would. We weren’t competitive when Rodgers was in charge.
We were, and were ahead when Ange came in and he turned a failing team around quickly, turned over the squad and had you hitting record breaking form in the league. While playing great football. Improved guys like Taylor a lot, Ralston too but maybe that was form don’t follow closely enough.
Clear Rodgers has had a more successful career to date, but no question at this moment Ange should be viewed as the better coach. If it was the other way round, Ange would still be at Celtic and it would’ve been Rodgers moving to a top 6 club. Even if it is Spurs.
This isn’t me criticising Rodgers, he’s a very accomplished manager while Beale is still a novice. But it’s a positive for us he’s back in place of Ange.

This isn’t me criticising Rodgers, he’s a very accomplished manager while Beale is still a novice. But it’s a positive for us he’s back in place of Ange.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You all thought you were competitive at the time.
The last rangers team he beat was very similar to last season. Mcgregor, tav, goldson, barisuc, Kent, Morelos.
Ah..sorry...you were right. Nort competitive.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Immediately offended by second sentence…
So we did aye, finishing 3rd in his first two seasons but we thought we were competitive
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hang on. Don't rewrite history here.
Guys in breed wrappers talking about joey Barton sorting out Scott Brown, how 'Big Wes' would play for England, how Barisic was better than Tierney and how you'd get £25m for Morelos.
You were proved wrong but there was plenty of bravado at the time.

It’s arguable that BR is a better coach than Ange tbf.

You think it is inarguable?

We had a much better team in the third season, that was when we improved and had likes of Flanagan, McCrorie, Halliday, Middleton and Lafferty as regulars.
But if your point is there were folk in our support who thought we were competitive, when we weren’t, then course.
Glad you agree with my original point
