It's like this is first transfer for that amount and in last 15 years we had transfers for 50 pounds. LOL. Have you been frozen in some capsule last 30 years?

I will restructure our bid to match or even better City but won’t go above £90 million

Don’t show your hand, if anyone from City is reading this, well………..

£90m is acceptable if West Ham agree.

£91m is a breach of Human Rights and the reason junior doctors are camping out near foodbanks if they don't.

Until City have been able to the address the charges hanging over the club I don’t see why they should be able to spend another 100 million on one player🤷🏼‍♂️ The financial doping goes on it seems.

City made £300m from prize and TV money alone last season, nothing doped about that, it’s a fact.

Where does it stop? Pay £100 million plus for Rice and another club will be asking for £150 million next season.
This also speaks to the failure of our scouting system. That in the last five years or so they have not been able to bring through a DM ready to play in the first team.

Like City’s doping only started last season. Get real!

It stops when transfer fees become too large for ordinary, rule abiding clubs to budget for within the constraints of FFP.

Already clubs are relying on waiting for contracts to wind down and sign players for free.

Exactly, yes the revenues good now it’s just how that advantage was obtained in the first place which is under investigation.

Man Cheaty has no chance of signing Rice for £80mil

"....but to pay £100 million plus for one player in a climate teachers, nurses and other everyday working people are scavenging food banks to live does not sit well with me."

You might want to avoid the outside world, and the inter/social media, altogether then.

Would then paying £80M in the same climate be ok with you?

Conveniently missing out it was the doping that enabled you to be in that position in the first place 🙄

Why are we not looking on the continent.? This Youssouf Fofana of Monaco that we are being linked to an alternative for £35 million, is Rice £65 million better than him?
The narrative from the bias media is that we keep missing our number one target. So what!? We pushed City last season with our alternative targets, who says we cannot repeat the feat or even go one better with a sensible transfer window.

Caicedo and Rice

I would not mind spunking our entire summer budget on the duo.
They would have made a difference today.

In all the negativity, we did mathematically qualify for the champions league today.
We will challenge again next season.

A couple of months ago you were more than happy to spend ~ £250m on 2 players 😂

Does it matter is he's 65 million better, are you more likely to win the title with Rice or Fofana is the question.

You will never know. Football is a funny game. A lot of uncertainties.
A cruciate ligament injury here; sudden loss of form there.
The risk we are assuming on Rice going over a £100 million will be too much.

Arsenal are going to have to be patient if they want to get Rice, they'll need to play the long grain.

I was commenting on the "....people are scavenging food banks to live does not sit well with me." as if paying any money for a sportsperson is ok while that goes on.
