£105m bid for Rice!!!

Market decides what a player is worth Snooks. Man City/Man Utd/Bayern/Arsenal were all in for Declan Rice. And clearly the only club directly bidding for Kane at the moment are Bayern. Maybe if Real Madrid and Man Utd get involved, that price will rise!

Man City will not match Arsenal bid for Rice. Looks like we beat them to it

Amazing how £40m English players from just a few years ago are now worth £100m.

Even more amazing how £40m European players signed by Spurs just a few months ago are now worth £10m

Football finances literally mean fack all.

It's nothing but numbers.

Clubs can spend whatever they want without repercussions or even anything to de-incentivise.

Arsenal have reduced their wage bill by half over the last few years, so are well within ffp. That's the advantage of building around young players.

You could get Messi or Ronaldo for $100 million

I’m sure you could but they are 36 & 38 and well past their best.

Surely absolutely nobody is taking FFP seriously after City pisssed all over it?

Absolute lunacy, paying £105m for a £40m player.

Pants down big time here, Farteta and Edu must have been on the acid.

I wonder what the structure is we've offered, and what W.Ham actually want?

Crazy fee, but if he's the one Mikel wants then so be it.

Lavia next 🤞

What I really don't get is why City are bidding at all. Rodri just won them the CL and they picked up Kovacic on the cheap
----------------------------------------------------------------------
City just led us on. Even in this climate we overpaid by circa £20 million.

Job done by City. They have Maguired you into paying more but unlike Maguire you are actually getting a good player.

Rice is an excellent player and good signing for arsenal

The price is just ridiculous though and pressure is on that he hits the ground running for them. No time to bed in.

I don't think its about final amount now, its about the structure of payment. £105m is enough...not even a penny extra on top.

West Ham have told Arsenal to improve the terms of their third bid worth £105million for Declan Rice. Standard Sport understands West Ham have not accepted the bid as they are unhappy with the payment structure, which they feel is spread over too many years. [StandardUK]
