De Gea is staying though is he not? About 45 hours ago I was reliably informed on ja606 that he would be signing a new contract in the next 48 hours.
De Gea:
Shot stopping - Depends, makes great close range reflex saves but allows daisy cutters from distance through his hands
Claiming high balls - Not so good
Sweeping - Non existent
Error rate - Started off very high, improved a lot but is starting to return to old ways
Kicking/passing - Dreadful
Availability - please expand on this
Communication- Poor
Experience -
Onana- Never seen him play

Nothing beyond it happened.
For DdG.
Crap at all of them except stopping shots. Which he is as good as any PL keeper at, if and when he is concentrating.
Experience and availabilty are givens.
My main concern is that he seems to miss a lot of games. I know their was a ban but even without that he seems to miss a lot of games.
One of the many great things about De Gea over the years has been his availability.

He seems a bit thick.
But at least he didn't just skip the drugs test altogether, so he's brighter than Rio.

He's a good modern keeper for sure. Will transform the way you build from the back.

Sweeper-keeper, play it deeper, don't be a weeper, or the climb could be steeper.
Only seen him play once, didn’t keep a clean sheet
Onana has strong distribution skills. He regularly comes out of his box to help build-up play and is known for his confidence on the ball and range of passing. In Cameroon's opening 2022 World Cup game against Switzerland, Onana had more touches of the ball outside of the box (26) than any goalkeeper in a World Cup match since records began in 1966. He was described as resembling a "holding midfielder at times" in UEFA's Technical Observers' report on the 2022–23 Champions League.
So in that respect, he's literally the anti_DDG

This makes it sound like back in '66 they were already recording number of touches by the 'keeper outside the box, when it seems more likely that they've kept similar stats for a few years now, and for the rest we're just relying on the fact that it was something they just didn't do much until fairly recently.
My worry is for all his ability on the ball, we factoring DDGs shot stopping and thr fact he rarely misses a game.

Yes, but he didn't enjoy the luxury of having an opposing striker aiming the ball at him rather than past him.
