furniture salesman next please, followed by Far East agent
It does begger belief some of the goings on at Leeds United and we have been for some time the gift that keeps on giving to rival fans that have plenty of ammunition to take the mick at our expense and yes this clearly unqualified individual has left the building but as far as I'm aware the furniture salesman that Cellino employed in some senior position is still at the club, maybe as a translater now which I suppose is useful but I think we all hope our latest owners are on the scale of shysterness as low as possible.
If Ridsdale was the king of shysterness then Bates must have been very close behind and then subsequent owners, GFH, Cellino and Radz have hopefully diluted the shysterness to an acceptable level whereby The 49ers use sound sensible methods and practises without cutting corners and Leeds United can be considered before not too long a very well run club.
Never understood how an academic could be in post for so long. Been a bugbear of mine for some time. When you read that such and such a keeper is held in high regard at the club, it is Abad and his team's assessment. This is why we have, as our no. 1, keeper, Meslier, who lets be honest, is shockingly bad.
Farke needs to bring a giant broom and sweep
out the deadwood collecting dust and dosh.
Come on Elsbels - Illan Meslier has put in some great performances over the years for someone so young. Yes, he's committed some howlers but isn't that true of all keepers? Yes, he must be held responsible in part for what happened last season but let's face it, we were listing badly for most of the season. It got to him, obviously. He was being touted as France's replacement for Lloris, who has been stunningly good. His value and prospects have been pumped beyond belief. He's still very young. I think you're being very harsh. Having said that, I hope Farke has a plan and that we sign a decent, experienced keeper to give him some competition and of course to replace him if he is sold.
I fundamentally don't agree Jaz, awful keeper whose frailties caused no end of panic amongst those in front of him. Cooper, Wober, Koch etc international defenders all terrified of making a mistake.

When you have Kristensen, Struiijk, Firpo and LLorent in front of you, its not your fault that you're facing chance after chance.
Add Ayling and Wober played out of position, our defence was awful.
Yes he's made mistakes but he's also won us a whole load of points and wouldn't be the first thing I'd look at fixing.
Having said that, I dont think he'll stay with us.

And I think if the people around him had been better than he might have been!..
We had problems throughout the whole team, and that caused lots off problems in our back line, people cant blame the keeper for everything!..
Meslier had the keystone cops and Bambi on ice in front of him for best part of 2 years. About as confidence sapping as it gets - give him some slack.
Meslier will move on and have a solid career.
But, whenever I think of him now, I see his woeful
positioning for Seamus Coleman's cross/goal.
Rumors going now that football analysts at the club
and other various front office people have been or
are being show the door today and this week.
Looks like 49ers have taken stock on the quiet and
now they're able to wield the axe.

A truly odious individual.
Jonty, maybe Mrs. Cellino's furniture bloke gets
shown the door finally too? We can only hope.
Be interested to read Don's thoughts. I'm fairly sure
he has a pal/relative who works at the club who has
knowledge. And we have our Popey connection.

Adam was excluded from recent briefing because BBC ran a story of bullying at Leeds Foundation. Mooney is a horrible man but 49ers part of that decision too.
Meslier was on a par with Ramsdale a few years ago, he has been let down by the club. Was a £20m+ asset, now worth £7-10m, which means we'll negotiate a deal for £3-5m...unless things change now the money laundering Orta has left the building.

Club has been run by clowns for far too long.
there is a great keeper in there, hope we keep him & make him no.1
Sammy, I think the links to Darlow are real. And I think
when he comes in, he'll be #1 choice. Can't see Meslier
staying TBH. Probably best that he does move for his
own development. Could see a French side taking him.
he is a very confident, assured young man, many many times the defence has put him in woeful situations, he has saved us more points than lost, just needs proper coaching.
can't see him staying either, but 1 hopes
.......trouble is most only remember the bad days
The flak Meslier has taken from the internetty warriors I'd be very surprised if he's still here next season!..
Farke is one for working with youngsters, and I think he knows a little about Meslier so he'll know which way he wants to go with him, which I think if Meslier agrees it'll be the best for all around!..
