He would certainly improve us, but at what cost ?
Yes, we need another CM with legs to get around the pitch, Hojbjerg isn`t mobile enough or good enough technically and Bentancur may not be fully fit until December or January, in fact he may never reach the levels he was at previously, it`s a bad knee injury similar to what Sandro had, and he was never the same player after. So we need another CM to improve on what we currently have and to cover for injury.

Good question, especially where Levy is concerned but it seems as though Chelsea have got to sell to balance that shambles of a squad and offset some of that crazy spend
would be happy with this signing but would be annoying in the sense we dont look like signing big on two CBs just one
Chelsea would never sell to Spurs and vice versa. Complete non starter.
meh !
An energetic all action type, committed player but for me a bit technically inadequate. Not sure where he'd fit into a CM3 and who of Bents/Bis/Madds he's replace.
I would have rather seen Loftus Chek as an option. Always been a much better ball player than given credit for and for me would have been a great back up for Bentancur or an alternative for Madds.
But we don't tend to buy or sell on the Kings Road.
sign Tap & VdV and give the youth a chance or sign Alex Scott for half the price
Not a fan of Gallagher at all
Any money the board are considering spending on him should go towards both Tapsoba and VDV

You guys will 'get it' once the season gets underway but Ange is quite happy to sacrifice technicality and skill in some of his team to accommodate a mad bastirt that runs around like fck for 60mins getting in folks faces and pressurising them. (Step forward Daizen Maeda) From what I've seen of Gallacher that pretty much sums up his game.
Sort of player most won't rate, but also the sort of player most teams are better off with. Would be quite happy if he came in tbh
I think in a vacuum moving from Højbjerg go Gallagher makes sense, but we can definitely do better. I think he'll end up feeling similar to Højbjerg in terms of just not being good enough technically
It might not work so well in EPL where players are a bit more skillful and composed but it is joyful watching [players hoof the ball out under pressure and the ball boys getting the a replacement ball into hands while it is still in the air and the throw in almost immediate whilst the other team is still adjusting shape. You guys are gonna love it.
He’d be a downgrade on Hoijberg.
Did a job for Palace on loan, not so hot back at Chelsea - mind you can't blame him for that. Bit of a liability discipline wise, but I think he would improve Spurs. He's one of those players where it is hard to work out how good he actually is.
Given we won't have European football next season, do we need another midfielder? Bentancur, Bissouma, Skipp, Sarr, Maddison...I don't know what's happening with GLC or Ndombele but we might have one or both of them.
It seems like we'd be targeting an area we don't really need to on a player that might add a slight improvement.

He's sort of like Hojbjerg but starting a bit higher up the pitch, isn't he. Not much cop technically but turns out good numbers
Why do some think Hojbjerg is leaving?

It’s been widely reported that we are talking to Atletico Madrid about PEH. Makes sense as well, he has 2 years left on his contract and we have plenty of players who do a similar role to him - Bissouma/Skipp/Sarr

yeah works hard and scores goals without offering much in possession
I just think we should generally be avoiding that profile. we need to add technical players to this squad at every chance we get

I hate the destroyer role, craaap ballers. Xavi/iniesta/Busquets - won the lot, not a destroyer in sight
Dunno if I'd call Gallagher a destroyer just cos he works hard out of possession. The Barca team you mention were relentless at pressing.
I'd say Gallagher is a good old-fashioned attacking midfielder with a comparatively low level of passing ability but comparatively high level of off-the-ball movement
