Good to finally see inbound players, hope that Farke is pulling the strings on these transfers, wonder if this means Adams still out for a while or moving on or if we accommodate both in the squad.
I hope Adams stays.
“When I spoke with the boss [Daniel Farke], as soon as I got off the phone call I knew what I wanted, he really impressed me.
“He told me what he liked about me and where he thinks I can improve as a player.
“That all helped me choose Leeds United.”
Farke wasn’t the only one to give Ethan a warm welcome, with the Welsh international also knowing Tyler Adams well from his time in Germany and receiving words of encouragement from supporters following speculation.
Ampadu said: “Tyler and I got on well [at RB Leipzig].
“When the interest was there, I gave him a message and we spoke a little bit. He couldn’t speak highly enough about the club. He’s a good friend and we have always stayed in touch.
Didn't realise he is pally with Tyler ( Leipzig link) - could be a reason for Tyler to stay barring a silly offer.
Welcome Ethan.

Good insight on Farke, knew Adams was connected, which is why I mentioned if they are both accommodated in squad.
LUFC Facebook account is hinting at more signings ASAP
Pleased with this signing & it's encouraging that Farke wanted him.
What are people's thoughts on the reported 8 who want to leave? Not sure if it's bs because Wober is named among them after apparently saying he wanted to stay.
Personally hope Wober, Willy, Harrison & Cresswell stay but Meslier, Summerville, Struijk & Drameh can go anyway.

if anyone wants to go, let them go, would prefer a real clean slate to be honest.
No reliable source is saying it. Just the token Newsnow sites that have no substance.
Some bit of bizarre news from a more credible source (Sky). Apparently Forshaw has been offered a big money move to Saudi Arabia.

Yeah hopefully the case. Often get these sort of stories just as things are looking up 🤣
The club needs to be able to put its foot down with some players that want to leave. Players like Gnonto aren't going to down tools and not play, neither will Cresswell or Drameh.
That being said, I'm happy with the Ampadu signing. Hopefully it demonstrates the level of quality we want to bring in. A midfield three of him, Adams, and Kamara, whilst not necessarily being the most effective offensively, could be a real force at this level.
Anyone seen Ampadu in action? Does he go straight into team with current squad??
I think so yes alongside Adams hopefully. Could do with a more Attacking midfielder to play in front of them. Unless they move Gnonto, Summerville or Sini to play there as a number 10. I guess different games might call for a more defensive line up too. Plus we have Gyabi who will hopefully pushing for a slot.
Farke likes an industrious midfield three, with wide players that can come inside and operate as playmakers, so I think we will do similar, with Rutter and Sini starting out wide.
Good signing ,if he spoke to Adams who helped him decide I hope that means Adams is staying.

If we do keep Tyler, and add Tamara to Ampadu,
with Rutter and Sini out wide, then add a true striker
who can score, then damn, hold on tight. Fun ride.

Honest kid. Really happy he's now Leeds.
Gretar in the background on the phone.
Hopefully, sealing more deals.
Id expect a winger or 2 to go? Maybe Harrison and Summerville. Hoping Gnonto stays.
It's great that Ampadu already knows Adams - might help persuade him to stay.
Know nothing about this guy but he's already got quite a bit of experience so I'm expecting he'll feature in the first team immediately.
Me too Outwood. I'd be very surprised if Harrison, Summerville or Gnonto are still with us when the season kicks off.

Meslier yes, awful, Struijk over-rated on this site, but Summerville and Drameh are you kidding? We have to keep hold of players like that.

Not kidding at all no. Heard rumours Summerville is a bit of a trouble causer & Drameh never looks as good as his reputation to me, certainly not enough to justify his reputed request for guaranteed involvement. Nobody should have any guarantees.
