Id give it to bamford.
Highly intelligent, team player, talks well and think it could be the making of him. 👍

he'd of been one of my top choices, but would he want it?
Could do a lot worse than letting the players decide on who they want to lead them, worked out great last time we did that.
Bamford berates team mates too much.
And hides from responsibility.
For me, if he stays, it’s Adams. All day long.
And give him the #4.
Bamford?? Surely that was.a joke? 🤣🤣
Wober for me.

Well played LIW. Made me laugh out loud a second ago.
It stays as Cooper every day of the week. Anyone who suggests otherwise is a menace.

Wouldn't be against that at all.
A menace? haha
You need a captain on the field and Liams been missing too much for me.
Adams managed six games more than Cooper last season, so not sure where this missing thing's coming from.
You also don't need your captain on the pitch. You need your captain around the players and the training. Helping the young lads. People that know the club.
That means probably not a guy whose been here seven months. If we have extra leaders on the pitch then that's great, but Cooper is the captain.
I went with menace because I thought public nuisance might be too far. Then again, might not be.
Cooper will retire at some point or move on. We cant rely on him forever.
I'll trust what ever Farke decides upon.
That means probably not a guy whose been here seven months.- Theres been instances in the past where even a new player is given the captaincy. Strachan for one. A leader is a leader.
Yeah, and when Cooper retires or leaves then we should name someone else captain. Not before that.
agree with luno
what does a captain do on the pitch apart from toss a coin
Wober will be captain. New era, fresh start. Captain needs to be reliable and one of the players aswell top leaders. Wober and Adams are the only 2 candidates for me.

That's the reality right there. Farke will choose.
He may well choose to keep Liam in the role and
get on with things. I doubt anyone would have a
problem with that if that's what happens.
And let's be honest, we have bigger issues than
who is captain. Regardless of what I said earlier
Coops has served the club very well.
Keep Cooper as Club Captain. When he’s not on the pitch make it Wober or Adams.

He should do a lot more, should be the guy who is inspiring the others, or if a player is losing it takes them aside and calms the situation.
Unfortunately, as the season progresses there may be a possibility that Coops place becomes less of a shoe in than in recent years.
A couple of years ago, when fit, first guy on the team sheet, not sure we haven't got better options to start now.

best left footed CB is Wober, if you are looking for a right/left footed combo, Wober and either Cresswell or Ampadu gives you that.

Come on their professional players, do they really need inspiring.
And telling a player to calm down if they lost it.
So not alot then 🤷🏻♂️

Well maybe a good captain v Newcastle wouldn’t have let Bamford take that penalty?
A captain should not only organise and inspire but he should also have the authority to tell players when they are in the wrong - as well as convey the instructions from the bench.
We know players a professional but we also know that in the heat of battle they can make wrong decisions. Remember many of them are still growing up in reality and I’m sure many of us made bad decisions in our 20’s.
