Wow, so much publicity over a forceful tackle which actually won the ball. It was a yellow card, no more, even in a competitive game.

I notice the Arsenal manager has said nothing about it. Because if he did it would appear his team have a soft centre and can't deal with any kind of competitiveness. The fans don't seem to subscribe to the same view, sadly.

On a side note, I hope Amad isn't out too long after being studded by Timber last night and leaving on crutches

As for the OP - no he isn’t overrated. We’ve lacked passion & character for a long time now; it’s great to see in modern football.

In fact, the Arsenal fans I’ve spoken to actually were complimenting that we were more up for it and that Arsenal lacked a bit of fight.

Maybe they didn’t suffer as much emotional damage as you did from a pre-season friendly.

Didn’t turn up in the ecfl final either.

Arsenal’s players were behaving like thugs until Martinez showed them the limits with a strong and fair tackle. So shut up idiot, and try instead to understand how you managed to lose to United twice on the same day.

Martinez is indeed a thug and I see more red card coming for him next season.
As for these dimwit Manu fans on this thread, I guarantee we will be taking six points from them next season. There will be no dodgy referee to rule out valid goals at old decrepit this time.

He was a candidate for United's most important player last season: brought aggression into a team that had been way too soft, by far our most press resistant player in the back six, and the best of our defenders at passing through the lines.

Good luck to Arsenal this season. Maybe the new players you've brought in will make the team less liable to choking at critical moments.
