What have Spurs done to the media for them to target us with all these made up stupid stories?
--------------
This whole victim complex by fellow Spurs fans is becoming boring and tiresome. What is up with you lot?

How is it playing the victim by highlighting headline news over the last 24 hours or so which is evidently made up?

They must have got it the wrong Mbappe linked with us. I may be wrong but hasn't he got an older brother who's not very good that's who we will sign.

Or some other random player named after Mbappe.

It’s all designed to generate more ridicule towards the club
======
How did this happen? Did media houses have some sort of conference where they made a pact to write Spurs stories that will generate ridicule, or did they just make it up as they went along?

Thanks for giving me permission.

And you carrying on misreading my posts. Rather than playing the victim I said that we should take it as a compliment.

In fairness the Mrs Kane house hunting one came from Bild who are the Munich mouthpiece and keen on stirring this up.

The thing is a lot of fans lap up what is written and will use it to further their agendas, mainly against the ownership.

It is obvious that while Liverpool get live text reports on the BBC of their pre-season friendly game vs Greuther Furth (I know, who??), Spurs get gossip and article on where Kane should go!

NUFC achieving top 4 has been met with such media joy, almost ignoring the national backed wealth. They reached and lost a League Cup final and havent won anything is decades.

It doesnt really bother me anymore but these respective achievements are met with widely differing reporting and i think that is pretty undeniable

I think what tends to happen in this era is that someone (anyone) posts something stupid with no evidence or direct quote and then it spreads like wildfire (even on to newspaper back pages) with the old adage "it is reported that...."

I personally think it's embarrassing for the media industry to be so desperate for news that they'll publish anything. Don't get me wrong, this happens to most big clubs/personalities/sports people. But it doesn't make it right and I don't think there anything wrong in highlighting it

So here we are. After all those posts calling me god knows what, everyone else is now suddenly realising there IS an anti Spurs agenda.

I mean, how many times does a media outlet or a paper have to sell off Kane before that becomes clear ?? I mean they have been selling him all over the place for, what, about 3 years now.

Then, as someone above quite rightly said, why the obvious disparity between how great Newcastle are doing, compared with what a mess Spurs are in. So what if Newcastle got one top 4, Spurs have been doing that consistently for 6/7 years ( ask any gooner that ! ) then the classic they never win anything. but the wonderful Newcastle's trophy record is abysmal. Something like 60 years and counting. Again, so what they got to a League Cup final ? again, Spurs have been getting to final's regularly.

Anyway, apology accepted !!!

We are a threat to the media`s darling clubs, they don`t want Spurs taking a place in the CL ahead of the likes of Varpool & Penited, consequently we get these stories put out there to unsettle and belittle.

Once again, always one who just dismisses the topic with a silly emoji. Great input pal.

But, more seriously, there is clearly more than a bit of truth with this.
Apart from the obvious money angle ( the bigger the club following world wide, the more money the likes of Sky will make ) we all know the classic "Sky 4" still very much exists. The two outsiders to this are City and Spurs. Well they hate Spurs and only very reluctantly give City any air time, and that's only because they have to given they win everything.

Not convinced ? so how many times did Sky flash up Utd "breaking news" on their screens and cobble together a segment relating to buying the Ajax keeper ?
They must of bought him about 8/9 times. Literally any excuse to talk anything Utd.

Another example....just take some time to watch their program "the premier years" and see how many times your club features if it is not one of the the sky 4 teams.

While i agree that the media will focus on the negative of Spurs and use these things to ridicule us, perhaps more than other teams (and the Spurs vs Newcastle comparison is a classic example, as is the Kane vs Rashford coverage this summer)...........

FECK ME we dont 'arf make it easy for them.

How is it that the Spyrs board has some of the best posters on 606 but also the biggest fruit loops? There is no in-between.

This media conspiracy stuff is right up there with the 'Levy is tight' nonsense despite chucking over half a billion at the team in the last five years.
