I imagine he only wants to retire from winning trophies for Saudi money

I think there will be a queue of clubs far more attractive to him than us. Plus there must be a reason why he's not getting any game time. Has he lost a yard? If he has then it's a cause for concern working in an Ange system with such a high line.

As good as he could be, I'm all on board with future proofing now. We always had more success buying the next big thing, not the last big thing. It all feels a bit Conte to me - buying for now rather than sensibly for the future.

One ITK reckons we have been speaking to Laporte in case City do buy Gvardiol. He said it months ago but would Laporte downgrade himself to our level?

TBF... Apart from Sandy, 99% of us accept Spurs are crap, Kane is Off to Bayern and that Levy is total bloody nightmare so taking cheap shots at us is water off a ducks back

Football's a kids game anyway. I'm just about the banter nowadays, couldn't give a flying one about the actual football

Wondering why Levy hasn't done things will give you a hernia. Best to avoid it.

Simon Rolfes - managing director of Bayer Leverkusen on if Edmond Tapsoba will leave this summer:

"No, not under normal circumstances! It is clear that at some point there are always limits. But Edmond is a very important player.

He is one of the top players of our team, without question. He still has a long contract. Therefore, there is no reason for us to think about handing him over."

Why would he come to Spurs?

Seriously, we can’t even sign Tapsoba or VDV 🤣
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The thing is we can sign those players but Baldy is just being 'difficult' again.

You expect a chairman to come out and say "Yes he will leave, he wants to go"

ANY Chairman who comments on speculation is always going to do so with the primary interest of keeping their player (if they want to) or extracting the biggest value from them (if they are open to selling).

In both circumstances, the answer will be the same! Unless the chairman is an idiot.

Why do you expect anything different

There have been reports of the player agreeing terms with us so it's not like we are pishing up a blind alley.

Are we talking CBs here...or lack thereof?

Here's what Aussieglue said about that when asked recently...........
***********
Are you frustrated at all with the lack of new centre-backs bearing in mind you identified it early on as a need?

"No, it's just the football world, mate. I've been in it a long time. I wish it could be like my wife with Amazon where we get deliveries everyday mate. But I can't put one in and get it the next day, unfortunately. It's just the way of the football world so no frustration, just keep working hard to try and get it done."
**************

I expect Aussieglue and Old Baldy will be falling out very soon.
Gone by Christmas is my prediction!

I’m fearing that Davies is the preferred option alongside Romero, if media reports are anything to go by…

How is that going to work, playing in a high line.., he’s a slow as a turtle, ffs!!

posted on 25/7/23

Ange said today that he sees Davies as a LB who's just filling in at CB because other players are coming back from fitness
