The 80s was the worst decade for music. Apart from metal and some rock.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You forgot to add imo.
Lots of good music in the 80's but still on a downward trajectory from the 60's and 70's.
Is there still such a thing as new music nowadays? kids today.

Joy Division love will tear us apart
Pixies where is my mind
Smiths how soon is now
New order blue monday
Adam and the ants kings of the wild frontier
----------------------------------------------------------------------

First four I'm right there with you.

Last one not so much 😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ha I get where you're coming from but I had to put it in on originality basis, a song with 2 drummers, people dressed up with face paint and singing about red indians making it into the mainstream charts. Deserved it on that basis.
