Don't understand the hatred for Bamford

Paddy Bamford's always taken lots of stick from Leeds fans but last season was just so bad that he became a sort of lightning rod.

The "hatred" spewed forth is certainly reflective of those that spew but also of the platforms themselves and those that run them. Twatter/XT is a cess pit and Musk is a sociopath.

Personally, I think he would profit from taking on a new challenge somewhere else. I thank him for his hard work and his goals and wish him all the best but would prefer that the club recruits a championship-proven striker for the season ahead.

Even so, it may be that Farke can work miracles - he was a striker himself. At least he will focus on the fact that we need to score more goals from all positions whatever happens.

I don't think our fans have a lot of patience for strikers. Seen it before with Wood, Morrison and originally with Bamford

I agree, I am amazed how many harsh things I've read of social media towards Bamford but also Ayling and Cooper. I'd expect all 3 to do well at this level again, though with Bamfords injuries and lack of form it may make sense to move on

You know what?

There are 9 positions on the pitch where they can get away with 80% of their mistakes, only getting called out for the 20%, and are not really so reliant on others in the team for their end performance.

But there’s 2 positions on the pitch where …

1/ they can’t do their job effectively unless they get 100% support from the rest of the team

2/ every mistake, or inability to apply the ultimate end result, is amplified 100x.

Striker/No.9 - not scoring every chance

Goalie - not saving every shot

And when a ‘team’ fails to perform as a unit, the players in these 2 positions will fail.
Impossible for them not to fail.
And as a result of their inability to deliver the ‘expected result’, every time, their confidence gets shot.

And that exacerbates the problems.

Messier and Bamford.

Everyone’s dartboard pin ups

Sorry, but in that team, with that management, even Kane & Alisson would struggle to impress.

But most of the bile has been dumped on Bamford and Meslier, and the majority are trying to drive them out of the club.

Yes, bring in others that can do the job. That makes sense. We’ve always needed strength in depth not only to cover injuries and loss of form, but to keep up the pressure on every player. Challenge is healthy.

And what do these two get from our fans, and many of you?

ALAW

Yeah, right.

Spot on!

Truth be told I can put up with the armchair numpties but I take exception to supporters who go to games and slag off players.

When a player crosses that white line we should support him 100%. Only then will you see the best of them. Anything else is counter productive.

I personally do not hate Bamford or any other footballer, even Man U players, so to offload such unacceptable vitriol onto PB is akin to having the mental capacities of a neanderthal which modern day faceless anonymous communication forums attract like flies around a stinking piece of dog excrement.

The childlike overly aggressive spoilt brat Veruka Salt mentality of some football supporters I just despair at and try to never engage with these individuals if I can help it as they are just so detrimental to your soul and they are like energy vampires that are just so blinkered and lost in their own personal frustration, misery and rage that they have no self control or filter machanism to behave like a civilised well balanced human being and just enjoy projecting hate onto others

Now I've got all the nuts and bolts of dysfunctional cognitive behaviour and it's destructive consequences off my chest I would still prefer Leeds to replace Bamford.

PB's injury record alone means it is highly doubtful he can stay fit for more than 20 games so on that basis alone we should have had a replacement by now and I'm not too confident the club will have anyone as Piroe seems to be yet another striker target we waste time and energy on but I hope I'm proved wrong and we hear some exciting positive news before the transfer window closes.

If no new number 9 arrives then we just have to hope Bamford can at least stay fit until January, get behind him and the team and by then look at the next window of opportunity to finally acquire a new predator infront of goal but the fickle nature of fans is such that all the vicious remarks and threats that a moronic minority have spewed out at PB and his family will be soon forgotten if Leeds are sitting pretty at the top of the Championship and Bamford is scoring plenty.

Patience,Yorkie? Is six goals in two seasons not enough for you? He is useless. And he is a very expensive brand of useless. If he had an ounce of remorse for being a useless tw@t, I could forgive him, but the reason he is useless is, he believes, because of the players he has to rely on for chances. If uselessness was an art, he would be Michelangelo.

I have just said it may be best to move on

I don't get why people give him jip and boo. He helped get us promoted and was a key piece of that team

He stayed with us when at his best, with links to England and never gave the impression he wanted to leave

He has had horror injuries that are not his fault. He's lost a yard of pace and clearly isn't the same player and is short on confidence

I'm asking for respect more than anything
