Does have the feel about it that Robb/Hoijlund is going to be another RDD/Onana crusade in that every game he doesn’t score (or Kane/Ivan Toney scores) there will be an article.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nah, my argument is based on logic that no one can really argue against - that we’re overpaying for a guy who’s done nothing. I’m not arguing he won’t be a success - maybe he will and I’ll 1 million percent be happy.
But we have overpaid. Hopefully he proves me wrong.
Robbsie
We have overpaid if he turns out to be a flop. If he is a success we will not have overpaid.
Is there a slight chance that Sancho might benefit from having a pacey genuine CF in the team, similar to how he operated as a RW for Dortmund?
Antony I’m not so sure, because I barely watched him at Ajax and I just can’t tell how we need to play to get the best out of him, or what even his ‘best’ actually is. It’s not like our strikers however bad they are have been missing loads of chances he creates or cuts back for them, he just doesn’t do any of that.
Not sure how much we’ve overpaid by tbh if it’s £64m up front, every fcker is expensive now days and he’s so young. Could very easily turn out value for money as he’s on an 5+1 year deal (on reasonably low wages), unless he absolutely flops big time.
He was outscored by Lookman last season which is a bit of a red flag. We trolled Liverpool for overpaying for Nunez and he wasn’t exactly a roaring success.
As Mike says, if he can help the players around him better than Wastehorse did then we’ll at least improve but for the money we’re paying and his crazy reported wages then you’d hope he would be hitting the ground running to some extent straight away when that kind of money could have gotten us a more ready player in Toney albeit not until Jan.
If he flops or is taking ages to get going I hope we still explore the Toney option in Jan and at least we finally have numbers up top.
You talking his actual reported wages or just the Baz ones on here?
I heard we were paying £1.8 million per week for him

I want Sancho to turn it on for us as much as anyone but we have to stop making excuses for him. It's not the absence of a pacey forward that prevents Sancho taking people on, or putting in a shift, or getting himself into dangerous positions, or playing with intensity or generally affecting games. And in any case, he's had Ronaldo, Martial or Rashford in most cases playing upfront. None of them are slow!
Ultimately we should have gone for Hojlund last year as he was signed for €1.8 million.
Whether he is a success for us or not I’d hope we as a club would finally learn our lesson and in future sign these players when they’re available at wholesale prices

He wasn't exactly a roaring success? Nor did anybody expect him to be. He did however make the step up at a more than acceptable level and scored a load of goals, in his first season. He'll be better next season. I'd go as far as saying he'll be on fire next season. Watch!

Casemiro Mount
Is a tasty looking unit
If adidas have really greenlit his return that means the club wants him back and after last year going from a lack of strikers to adding Hojlund and Greenwood would be night and day in terms of output
With ETHs rapid counterattack style and high press those front 3 would have endless opportunities to bang em in every game
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Adidas have issued a statement saying its BS

Of course it’s utter bullshiiiit.
