He is very mobile and came out very quickly to get the ball a few times. But it doesn;t help having a clueless tank in front of him, in the shape of Dier.

Absolute clueless at the back. Rodon would have been better with positining. Dier looked comfortable when moved up and played in the middle when we pushed up.
I noticed Ange taking a mental note, when they broke and went past Dier with ease.
Hopefully VDV has arrived and we don;t have to rely on this guy to be a CB, as he is not one.

Vicario will get more confident one the defense is sorted out and he's played a few games to get to know the system even more.

He made couple of point blank saves....Though one of them, he did play for the cameras

Luka youshould have written this for Richarlison....Totally waste of a player. He huffed and puffed, but wasted passes and didn't do much else.

Really hoping Kane is staying now. Don't fancy our chances if we ever rely on Richy boy.

Agreed I think we should go back in for Raya, I know Arsenal are after him, but his price seems to be coming down and we know what we are buying with him

Vicario might turn out to be brilliant not writing him off but can we afford to be taking this risk with him?

Give the lad a chance

New team new country and he’s young

Let’s hope he settles in quickly

Raya is a done deal. Mental that Spurs and United both decided against signing him when he was available for £30M

Keeper is definitely a concern. Lets hope he does the business.

It is such an important position to cover. Just look at Leicester City last season not replacing Schmeichel properly.

The rest of the team I am not overly concerned about, apart from if Kane goes.

If we keep Kane and Vicario turns out to be good I think we can shock the pundits and fans and have a really good season.

With playing one match a week there is no reason why we can't make the top four and win a cup.

He will get plenty of chances but we are going to have to be patient with him.

Assumed was always available for £30M as that’s what Arsenal have agreed with Brentford with add ons included

Thing with Raya is that Brentford were asking £40m at the start of the summer and the GK was a position that needed sorting ASAP. Couldnt realy afford to wait to the end of the window to force a more reasonable price and couldnt pay the £40m. Rock & a hard place.

Not sure if people are after him. I think we will all be behind him, its just people giving their views after what they have seen in preseason.

I thought Vicario has done OK pre season. Has made some decent saves. He hasn`t made any major errors. I liked Hugo, but it was time for a change, and he new goalie gets my full backing, no problem.

I really don`t see a problem at all.

They asked us for 40m too, apparently he just really wanted to join us. We kind of forced Brentford's hand as we had agreed personal terms with him.

Levy tax. You cant blame clubs, based on what he does to others

yeah it's not really that people are getting on his back, it's more about having seen some initial performances, giving a view on what we've seen

To be honest, when we ditched our interest in Raya and moved over to Vicario, I had a look at compilations of his 'best moments' on Youtube, and even that made me more worried about him coming in

His positioning and footwork looked quite poor, a lot of the saves looked better because of his poor positioning in the first place

He seems to parry everything out into a danger spot

I quite like him, and want to give him a chance, but my initial impressions when seeing the clips on Youtube weren't good, and he's not really done anything in pre-season to change that initial view.

Havign said that, I'm not sticking to my guns on it, and if he develops and improves his game, obviously I will be buzzing, but i won't be scapegoating him for everything

I legit ,LOVE what Ange is doing with the team, and what he's done in such a short amount of time. so I'm prepared to give HIS players some time to settle into his sytem and improve
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I doubt Vicario was HIS player though. Its someone who broadly fits his system in being good with his feet, but Ange may have preferred a number of others (Not saying Raya woulda been either, but I think we can all agree he would have been the safer option).

Vic was obviously on Paratici's list and we went through with it due to the price and hype in Italy.

I was willing to be open minded after initial disappointment after bailing on the Raya deal but no its quite depressing him going to bitter rivals.

Vicario reminds me a bit of Meslier @ Leeds. Not the biggest or most dominant keeper you'll ever see but makes decent saves and looks decent with the ball at his feet (unlike Hugo)

Have to give him time, he's young and adjusting to a new league and country.

Don't know what the issue was with Raya, i think we were haggling over money (Typical Levy) but if 30mln is gonna get it done for him to go to Arsenal, i think Id have rather paid a bit more than we did for Vicario and gone for him

even at his best Lloris was considering front post tbf and Vic has shown comfort on the ball from the back at least from what ive seen

with the defence in front of him at present hes gonna have a lot to do and will be shown to be flaky a lot, have to hope he improves
